Question about Gaggia Syncrony Logic 74884 Espresso Machine & Coffee Maker
My gaggia machine is struggling to grind beans, it has been cleaned thoroughly, it is spinning very slowly without beans in, as soon as you add beans it stops, as if there is no power in the motor, any suggestions welocme, thanks
You hit it on the money, Jose... the grinding burrs, called the conical burr set in the manual, needs replacing. You can find it at partsguru for around $42, and armed with a standard phillips head, a larger precision phillips head, and a #10 Torx head set of screwdrivers, you can replace them yourself, saving over $300 in repair bills.
Email me for the step-by-step if you want to give it a shot.

Remove the brew unit and to the left of that is the the discharge area for the grinder, make sure that hole is clear, then adjust grind 1 number coarser, and check machine.

Re the Gaggia no power problem, the machine does have a re set button, 2 in fact the boiler unit must be removed and the two reset switches are between the sender units (brown in colour).
After disconecting the power source open the machine (top off)The three alan head screws that retain the boiler (front of the machine) unit must be removed it can be lifted clear to gain access to the bottom of the unit where the reset buttons are.
This will save hundreds of dollars in shipping and service fees.
DIY takes about 10-20 min well worth it.
Take care when doing this opperation 240 volts can kill.
