Question about Samsung HC-P4752W 47" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Samsung HC-P4752W Does Not Turn ON

My two year old Samsung HC-P4752W has stuck in standby mode. It started when it was one month old, it would turn off itself and enter the standby mode where it would remain until it is unplugged from the power line. I reported this problem to the manufacturer who directed me to a local TV repair shop; unfortunately, this local shop did not identify any technical problem and hence it was not fixed. I had to live with this problem for another two months after which it dissappeared itself. For te last one year and a half I had no problem with this TV. Two weeks ago it developed a convergence problem, which I was able to fix myself by changing the STK ICs because its warranty has already expired. However, the old problem of self turning off as I described above restarted. This time it survived for only one day after which, it failed to restart completely. Currently, the TV has remained in the standby mode. Nothing happens when I press the button on the TV set itself, however, if I press the power Key on the remote, the TV responds by turning off thr standby LED. I think I have given sufficent information that to descriobe my problem for the expert to help me solve this problem. I guess the problem is not very serious, however, I strongly need help. I have no confidence in the Local TV repairman because they failed me when I was still under warranty.

I think the system did not respond fairly to Techman when I responded that I needed another solution. I was not disregarding the solution given by Techamn, because I am following it. I only wanted additional information regarding the specifications of the board recomended by Techman. Reading the techmical manual for this TV, I couldn't locate the board with part number BP94-01266A; so I hesitated to order the board out of this concern hoping to get further clarifications from Techman. Is there any alternative partnumber of this board?

Unfortunately my comments did not get recorded because the system was clogged at that time.

That is where I downloaded the manual I am using; it is in 8 pdf files.

I pulled out the power PCB for this TV. Its part number is BP41-00070D. don't have that board; is it interchangable with board BP94-01266A?

I had trouble getting help from Samsung on the alternative board to BP41-00070D which, according to, has been dicontinued. I left my e-mail address with Samsung Techsupport to find out for me. After several reminders, today I got an e-mail confirming that PCB number BP41-00070D was replaced by PCB number BP94-01266A. This replacement is exactly what Techman had suggested to me, so I have ordered one and it should arrive in three to four days. I will post the outcome.

Good News, I got a new PCB BP94-01266A although it is labelled a different number, I think PB41-00277D, it took me about 15 to 20 minutes to install it and bingo! The TV is working excellently.

    Thanks Tecman

The proble you have is an intermittant power supply or sweep power supply. Unless you can find a bad connection on the power and deflection board, this could be a very difficult problem to find. I have ran across this problem a couple of times, and after spending countless hours troubleshooting, I replaced the main board and all the problems were taken care of. The board part number is at and I found the board for you. it is located here: Good Luck

I guess you want to fix the set by magic. You will need to locate the defective board and replace it. Sorry but there is no magic fix here. No easy fix.

You really should get the service manual on this set. You can download one here.

Good to know you fixed it and save at least a few hundred bucks!

My television is a hc-p4752w and the color convergence is way off. The red and green are not together and curl away from the top of the screen and bottom too. I tried to auto focus with only making the color separation worse. The tv is about four years old with lots of play time...
