My Ilo tv keeps switching between Mono and Stereo and SAP without me doing anything! It is SOOO irritating, can anyone tell me how to make it stop? Thank you so much!
Jessica
I was previously using my ILO tv through my Charter Cable box. Since I've moved my TV into my bedroom, without a cable box, it no longer switches between the mono and sap. The tv no longer switches between mono and sap, but the sound quality is bad. It sounds static-y all the time and now "pops" instead. Next time I will spend the few extra dollars to get a quality tv from a company who offers a warranty. Good luck to you.The tv no longer switches between mono and sap, but the sound quality is bad. Press MTS/SAP on the remote (under the number buttons) to go between the 3 options of STEREO or MONO or AUTO SAP. Not all channels will have SAP (secondary audio program). Selecting stereo should eliminate any secondary audio.
Hello
Press the MTS on the remote control handset to select STEREO, MONO or SAP. All the options will be available only when the current TV channel is broadcasting that option. Channels will not always carry programes, that have all MTS options. If "STEREO" appears on the screen when you select a channel means stereo sound is available with current programme. You can hear sound from both speakers. If broadcast is not strong and clear, stereo sound will not be available. Press "MTS" button to change it to "Mono". This will eliminate the noise. If "MONO" appears on the screen when you select a channel, stereo effect will not be availabe, even though you have set it to stereo. If "SAP" appears when you select a channel 'Second Audio Programe' [SAP] broadcasting is available for that programme. Press the "MTS" button to 'SAP' and you can hear that programe in different language or some other kind of audio.
Your SAP/MTS function is most likely turned on. This feature has 3 modes: Stereo, Mono and SAP. Stereo and Mono are easy to understand, it's the SAP that can get you. SAP stands for Second Audio Production. It is used to provide weather, information or an additional language translation of a program. Some broadcasters simply transmit the mono audio over the SAP audio channel when the are not using it for other purposes. Other broadcasters simply do not use it, which does not give you any audio. Look on your remote for a SAP or MTS button. If you do not see one, look in your TV user menu for this feature. If you are using a cable box, look in the audio menu of the cable box. You are looking for something set to SAP... just change it to STEREO. I hope this was helpful.
on your remote there should be an MTS button, try that because sometimes they broadcast shows in/on mono, stereo or sap. go to those channels and try switching to either mono, stereo or sap. let me know and good luck
if you are using a digital TV is is possible that the frequency is slightly out or you have poor reception. do a new channel serch first (automatic if you can and see what happens sap may reset also if you do this function.
Per your owners manual I found you should have an option in your Audio menu labeledMTS. You should be able to adjust the MTS by selecting it and press the + key.
There should be three options under MTS: Stereo, Mono, Auto SAP. You would probably want to select Stereo as Auto SAP will engage the Second Audio Programing which will cause other sound problems.
