Question about ilo256a MP3 Player

Keeping chapters in order

When I sync a book into my Ilo on the screen of my computer all the chapters show to be in order on the mp3 player but when you try to listen to it all the chapters are out of order. How do you keep them in order? I have renamed and numbered and tried several options but still they are out of order in the mp3 player.

I fixed this problem by renaming the chapters from 1 to 01 etc. I found the mp3 player would store them in logical order i.e. 1 followed by 10 which was not what I wanted, by renaming the first 9 chapters 01 to 09 this resolved the problem. N.B. I tried to track down Reorganize on the web but gave up as I could only find a German site and I cannot speak German.

How do I get my audible books on my sandisk clip sport mp3 player to play in the right order

it could be a filename issue. You could number your tracks in a mp3 tag editor. I suggest mp3tag v.2.5.x for your needs.

This player will only recognize Audible audiobook files

There is not a fix for the pause/resume issue - it is a major problem for just about every mp3 player that claims audiobook compatibility

Here are some help files:
Audible
1) Adding audible books to your MP3 player using Audible Manager (Windows XP)

Won't Install

1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

2)
REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.

Order File for Audio Book

Can you rename the files? If so, try renaming the single digit chapters to have two digits - for example 1 becomes 01, 2 becomes 02, etc.

Synchronizing?

You have to be playing the book in Windows Media as you sync. It works then. My problem is that is loads the entire book as 'one' so you can pick up in the middle.

Song Names show up incorrectly on ILO Mp3 player. Wrong format?

The funny~.mp3 names are usually because the title field is not filled in in the mp3 property tags, so it uses the DOS version of the filename for the title. Under windows, right click the song and select properties->summary->advanced, and make sure that the title field under "description" has what you want in it. I don't think even the makers of Ilo know how it organizes the files.
