Hi and wlecome...
You should not use anything other than powered dishwasher detergent in these products. They are not designed for tablet-style detergents. The reason is because the dispenser does not "open" during the wash cycle like you would see on a conventional dishwaser. The incoming water pours over the detergent and releases the mixture out the bottom of the dispenser. Seriel PAA41010 dishwasher does not dissolve tablets

Tablets dissolve in the water, normally by the drawer opening and the tablet falling out into the wash. Is the door sticking (tablet door not loading door) or is the wash arm not spinning freely or blocked? These can interfere with the cycle

I have a fairly new Fisher and Paykel double drawer dishwasher. A problem has developed all of a sudden whereby the Finish powerball tablet does not completely dissolve during the cycle (top drawer only),...

The water temperature is not coming up to the required level. The heater might be failing. Will need a technician to fix unless you are very savvy with technical repairs. Have you tried using the detergent powder in the dispenser to find if results are different.

Dishwasher tablet not dissolving during wash cycle

I am not sure if you can use dishwashing tablets with this model of dishwasher. These are designed mainly for powder only - you should be able to shut the detergent compartment door before starting the dishwasher.

Make sure the compartment is not blocked preventing inlet water from circulating through.

Tablet keeps coming out of the dispenser on my hotpoint fdl 570 dishwasher on all cycles and falls on to the floor, result is that the crockery isn't always clean on the top tray. Machine is still...

Hi Jeanette,

Maybe I misunderstood your question, but the tablet is supposed to come out of the dispenser and fall into the bottom of the dishwasher. It needs to fall into the hot water in the bottom of the washer to dissolve. The dispenser releases the tablet at different points in the cycle depending on which wash cycle is selected. On a shorter cycle it will be released soon after starting. On longer cycles, there is usually a rinse first, so the tablet will be released a little later. There would only be a problem if the tablet wasn't being released, or wasn't dissolving completely.

There are a number of reasons for poor cleaning on the top rack. The most common are the upper spray-arm not spinning, incorrect stacking or overloading. If the upper spray-arm isn't spinning, there may be caused by a blockage in the spray-arm or the water delivery system, but, as the dishwasher is new and it's not happening every time, it's possible that the dishwasher isn't levelled correctly. The spray-arms aren't motorised, they use water pressure to spin, but they wont spin if they aren't balanced, i.e. the dishwasher isn't level.

You can check whether the spray arm/s are spinning by pointing them front-to-back, or left-to-right (so you can remember the position) and allow the dishwasher to run for a few minutes. Then open the door and check the position of the spray arms. They should continue to rotate slowly for a short while after opening the door, but if they're in the same place and static, they're not spinning. I'd suggest repeating this a couple of times to eliminate the possibility of them having stopped in the exact same place you left them.

If the spray arms are spinning, test the dishwasher with only a small load in the top rack. If the top rack comes out clean with a small load, you may be overloading it or stacking it incorrectly some of the time. There should be a correct stacking guide in your user manual.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, check whether the arms are spinning then post back.

Regards,
BElectric

Hi, we have soft touch washer and are having trouble with the tablet not dissolving more than ten percent.we have just bought this property and not too sure of the machines operation.can you please help...

Hello. IF you are placing the tablet in the soap dispenser, it may be that the dispenser drawer is not opening as it should. Try putting the tablet in one of the silver ware baskets and see if it dissolves. Joe

Dishwasher 3 in 1 detergent tablet not dissolving.

I believe that the instructions for using these 3-in-1 tablets is to place it in the open dish detergent cup, rather than in the closable compartment, since the tablet needs to get doused by a lot of water in oder to fully dissolve and be effective in getting the dishes clean.

Since the tablets are designed to dissolve more slowly, they are able to be used for the entire range of washing cycles. If it's a constant problem and you don's have an open detergent cup below or next to your closed detergent dispenser, just toss it into the bottom of the dishwasher instead.

The reason that the tablet isn't getting dissolved fully is because the door is preventing the tablet from dropping all the way out and the door is shielding the tablet from quite a bit of water spray.

Another option is to take a look at your owners manual for the dishwasher and see if they recommend these all-in-one tablets versus regular powered detergent and liquid rinse aid.

Hope that helps and best regards!
