Motorola HS850 dials its last number when switched on
I recently acquired a Motorola HS850 but everytime I open up the Boom to switch it on it automatically dials the last number from my dialled list. The phone I have it paired with is a Nokia 6230i. Any ideas how I could stop it doing this?
I have exactly the same problem. It happens on two different phones. It did not happen out of the box but has started it recently. When I open the boom (turn on the HS) after a few seconds, it dials the last number called on the phone.I have exactly the same problem. It happens on two different phones. I'm having the same issue. Someone on another forum had the same issue. They discovered that the silver button was stuck. I've checked mine to see if the button was stuck. The silver button did not move much to indicate a depressed or released position.

close the boom mic , press the button and hold until blue light is solid and with your spare hand flip the boom mic back open and the light should remain on. "0000" is the default passkey
If you are turning it on with the button, that is why. To turn on the H700, you should just need to open the boom mic. Once open, it should connect with your phone. The H700 is designed to dial the last number when the button is pressed. No way around this one.
There actually is a trick to the HS850 - flip the boom closed, then
hold down the button just until the light holds solid - IMMEDIATELY
after it does flip the boom open and this should keep the light solid.
Then on your cell/device search for bluetooth devices - you should be
able to find it now. Passkey for most devices is 0000.
With head set off and charged, press the on button until the light comes on steady, then open the boom. The light shoulld stay on. Initiate a search for devices from the phone. This should solve part of the problem.

I have the same exact problem as described.
Me too. It's been happening for the past few months.
