Error message and not cooling Kenmore 795-7730

I noticed the food was warm and the motor was not on. The temperature panel had an Err message on one side and a number and letter on the other (don't remember what it was as it is currently temporarily ok). I was advised to unplug it and wait a couple of minutes and then plug it in. This worked but a few hours later it happened again. And then at 2AM I happened to wake up and didn't hear it happily running and it was the same problem. There were 2 very brief power outages two days before but there didn't seem to be a power surge. I think the computer in it has lost its mind. It will run but it does not sound as robust as before. Oh, did I mention the warranty ran out 21 days ago? I hope I don't have a $1500 doorstop. Thank you so much. I have posted the error message. It was dH and I have yet to hear the defrost cycle...it clicks and pops very definitely. If it is the sensor, I think I can manage nicely should I be able to get the part.

My kenmore elite has an error code of dh. Any idea what this means?I have a kenmore elite bottom freezer that has an error code of dh. It is a 795. model

Catriver should be able to help. The solution to my problem was indeed the fusable link but I did not have the dexterity to climb in and get to it...I fervently wish I had. The part took a week to arrive after many frustrating phone calls with conflicting answers. Then they arrived for an appointment I canceled and of course the part arrived half an hour after they left. They said the tech would call me...not. Then they had me scheduled for the next day but had not assigned a tech. Finally it was fixed...except that now the outer bottom edge of the freezer is icing up. BUY THE WARRANTY!! I got to spend $240 for a posthumus warranty. Funny the bill was about $1.50 over the $240.

Hi Jacquelyn, the second part of that error code is important. Er- F5 freezer sensor malfuntion, Er- r5 refrigerator sensor malfuntion, Er- d5, defrost sensor malfuntion, Er- dH, defrost system malfuntion. So it could be any one of these. The 5 may appear as an S, or vise a versa, that depends on where ever your at. I have been finding the fuseable link in the defrost system on these models open preventing the defrost cycle. This would invlove removing the freezer back panel and removing the sensor and fuse from the evaporator. It's just a plug in. I'm not sure if that is your case but if you post the full error code, one of these nice techs at this sight will give you more insight. Catriver.

We just had the regrigerator installed today. It was cooling and then we put the food back in and shut the doors and the readout now on the display where the temperature is says ER and CF. The water does...

If the unit was just installed you would call for service. Error Code Er CF -The unit will receive signals from the BLDC fan motor in the freezer compartment during normal operation. If more than 65 seconds pass without a signal from the fan motor, an "Er CF" error message will be displayed. The Cooling Motor Error is usually an indication of a faulty fan motor or loose leads. Well this what i say,
Kenmore combination refrigerator and freezers combine the short- and long-term food storage options in a single unit. There are some occasions when the refrigerator compartment might appear to be malfunctioning while the freezer box stays cool. Ruling out these occasions ensures you have done everything you can to correct the problem before calling for a technician if necessary.

1.Verify that the temperature controls for the refrigerator compartment are properly configured. Tap the "^" or "v" buttons beside the refrigerator's LCD temperature display until "38," the ideal temperature, appears. The compartment could have been set too warm. Allow 24 hours for the the appliance to reach 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

2 Check that the refrigerator compartment door closes completely, objects inside the appliance could be holding the door ajar. When cool air is allowed to escape, the internal temperature rises. Cracked, holed or corroded door seals may also raise the refrigerator temperature.

3 Change how you use the refrigerator compartment; storing hot or warm food strains the appliance and causes a rise in internal temperatures. Do not prop open the door or leave it ajar for more than a few seconds at a time for the reasons outlined in Step 2.

4 Contact Kenmore if the refrigerator compartment remains too warm for your food. There may be a problem with the motor or any one of the other parts that regulate the temperature

Hello - I have a Compool 3600 system and recently I started getting an ERR 1 message on my control center. After doing some research, I ordered a replacement temperature sensor (TS5L with red and green...

With the information that you gave above I come up with this.
1. You got an error 1 message which indicates a bad WATER TEMPERATURE sensor.
2. You installed the sensor and you got the same message
3. To test it you removed the sensor and got an error 3 instead.
This is what identifies the problem.
The sensor that you swapped must have been the FREEZE TEMPERATURE sensor and not the WATER TEMPERATURE sensor.
The error 3 code only comes on when the FREEZE sensor is diabled or disconnected.

Solution: Trace the TEMPERATURE sensor and replace this sensor. The original freeze sensor is probably still good if you still have it.

Beeping with 'f2' & 'f3' message when cleaning but did not finish cleaning. Oven now cooled but still locked.

All F3-E Codes - Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) or Warming Drawer Defect - Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).

Error code ERR on Sears Kenmore front load washer

LOC means it thinks the control panel is locked.
This gives the ERR indication when you push the buttons.
To unlock it you need to hold down the Options and Select buttons together until it reacts.

Kenmore refrigerator not working

Hi!!! Go to the back of the frig and see if the compressor and condensor fan motor are working.If not then you have a bad current relay.easy fix.its located in the compressor where the wires go into..Good luck.Heres a picture of your current relay..

Hi. Error FF is your Fresh Food Fan. Otherwords, the evaporator fan motor has failed. You should replace the motor and motherboard. You may get by just replacing the motor. Sears doesn't manufacture the refrigerator. They just pay extra to have Kenmore put on it. Its the manufacturer that needs to back their equipment. If you bought it from Lowes, you can't hold Lowes responsible for the ongoing issue. They sell the same refrigerator. Anytime this model refrigerator displays an Error code, unplug it for 5 miniutes and replug it. Sometimes it was a computer misfuction. Good luck! Mack
