It might be the dew sensor, try blowing it shortly with hot air using hair dryer, if the same entire mechdeck should be replaced. thanks

Not accept the new tape clean tape drive

Your question is not very clear.

Is the drive not accepting a new tape or is it not accepting a new cleaning tape?

LTO Cleaning tapes have a life span of between 20 and 50 cleans and once they go above this they expire and do not work again. I suggest you try using a brand new cleaning tape to try the cleaning cycle again and then try your backup again with a brand new tape too. This should eliminate all your media from you list of problems.

If the Superloader continues to either reject tapes or the cleaning light / alert persists then i am afraid it will need to be sent for repair as it is likely the read write heads will need replacement / service.

Visit the link below and they should be able to help and offer a full warranty too.

I just got a SONY DCR-PC 101E MINI DV camcorder from my sister in law but the batteries don't work, wondering what can I do with the batteries?

The Batteries do fail if a camera has been un-used for a year or so, you can however buy these at Maplin Electronic shops, look on the net for your nearest dept store.

I haven't used my VM-E2 in several years. During that time it was in storage with a cassette time inside. I recently tried to use the camera and ''E'' kept flashing. I rejected the cassette and checked...

The manual says that when E is flashing to "Unload the videocassette once. Confirm that there is no problem with the tape (tape tension for example), then reload the videocassette and try to resume. I would suggest reloading a different tape. I have the same camera but am missing the RF adapter that plugs into the side. If you cannot get your camera to work, are you open to selling me the adpater?

I am not the person who made any suggestion to you. I happened to see your post when reading on this site.

When this type of problem ocures in any of the camcorders, this means that there is usually a mechanical fault with the loader mechanism. Another cause can be that there is a sensor fault with either a tape position sensor, or with the electronics that operates with the sensors, and the tape loader mechanism. If there is a servo fault the loader will also be commanded by the uPC to eject the tape.

Because of the way the camcorder is constructed and its sophistication, this is not something you can fix yourself. The electronics are mostly all SMD technology, and the mechanical parts are very fine as like in a mechanical wrist watch.

I would suggest that you get in touch with the manufacture service rep to arrange to have an estimate for repair. The service cost is not cheap for these types of devices. The work is time consuming and the replacement parts can be expensive. Get an estimate for service before making any decisions.

You may find that servicing your unit when it is out of warranty may not be worth the cost. If your unit is more than a few years old, you must consider that it may pay to get a new unit.

Tape stuck in VCR, won't eject.

you posted 2 different problems here...
to answer this one ". The tape is stuck, won't eject and I'd like to get it out without damaging the VCR unit."...open unit, find motor that moves tape ejector and spin that motor by hand (power off)

the other problem, "the VCR will not insert a tape. It keeps rejecting it."...open unit and fully turn ejection motor until home position is reached...this is a home sensor switch not being activated.

Camera will not accept mini-dv tape anymore

Is sounds like something got on the drum/video head ,that is sticky causing the drum not to spin when you put a tape in. You say that putting a tape cleaner in helped, and sometimes they will help ,but tape cleaner are not as good as having it cleaned by someone like me , a qualified Technician.
