there are two cradles available for the 6300, one has two connectors should work when you put the phone in the cradle and switch on the key, the other has one connector and is bluetooth, this requires pairing, you will need to search for bluetooth devices and pair using code 1234. The use of steering wheel controls is not possible with bury car kit. hope this helps. dan

In someway or the other buying cheap players for 30 -40$ and just discarding it after getting good reasonable time of work from it, seems to be a good alternative!

You may have shorted out the light kit. Did you remove the other bulbs and put in new ones? They may have all blown when you heard the noise. Try that first, and if it still doesn't work, you may have to buy a new light kit. They are not expensive, and you can buy one without the glass bulb holders or cans, whatever you have. Then you can still use yours after you install the new light kit. Good luck!

my car kit is not even picked up by the htc yet my p910 was working fine. Microsoft does it again - sell you something that they know does not work, yet instead of putting an advisory out they waste my time my petrol going back and forth from supplier to supplier. This is the problem with all the American companies , honesty and integrity is only for the others.
Sorry I am a bit frustrated that I will get a fine which will make my phone even more costly
