First, one phone started intermittently not working - nothing happened when you hit the talk button. Got new batteries for both phones, still had same problems. Second phone started acting the same way & now neither of them work. Base HOLD light will flicker, but when hit won't 'search' for phones. On phones, when hit TALK button, "TALK" will flicker for a few seconds, then disappear. This happens on both phones now. Are my phones toast? We've had them for about 5 years; what is the longevity of the Uniden 2.3 ghz cordless phones?
My phone has three and one of them will not allow the talk or end
button to be pushed...they seem to be frozen. If you push the speaker phone button you can hear the dial tone, but cannot turn
it off. It has to have the battery unpluged to stop it. Help...it is
only about two weeks old.

We are experiencing the same problem. We called the 800 number on the phone and Uniden said it is the primary base that is the problem. They will replace it if you have a receipt. Unfortunately, we didn't have ours.

I don't know if this helps, but perhaps the problem is using two or more phones. On a whim, I charged a Uniden EXP 970 that my daughter gave me a few years ago. Charged right up and it has been working for about two days. I didn't think it would charge at all but to have it actually work, I was amazed!! Will post if it quits anytime soon.
FYI I bought two phones from AT&T, each around $200 and neither of them worked after a week. I was not happy! These less expensive phones seem to do a much better job!

We have the same problem with our Uniden cordless phones. We have four phones in our set. What happens increasingly often is our corded phone will ring and when you pick up the Uniden cordless handset, there's no connection. And you cannot reconnect until you unplug the power cord and plug it back in. It strange, it's annoying and we're replacing the set because it's getting worse. If anyone can explain why, I'm listening. I don't plan to purchase, or recommend, Uniden to anyone.

I always tell people NOT to buy new batteries to try and fix their cordless phone. It seems to rarely solve the problem and you are usually better off just spending the money on a new phone. Unfortunately 5 years is a long time for cordless phones these days. There are so many brands, and so many thousands of models, it's impossible to keep track of them all.

I need to set the phone on pulse but don't know how to do this
my phones are only one year old and I am having the same problem as jasnicerose. The base hone is not charging even though the charge light is on.
We have a brand new set of Uniden Cordless Phones. We have charged them and they worked for a day, then no dial tone. We have gone through all the steps to recharge the phones. They worked fine for one day and now sometimes we get a dial tone and other times we don't. It's like they disconnect themselves. We have replaced phone cords and sometimes if we unhook phone line and rehook they work for a moment and then again no dial tone. Please provide a fix. Tks.
Same as Janicerose! I guess it's best not to get uniden! We bought new batteries too.
None of the three phones have a dial tone. When you push talk is like a inner intercom.
