Plug the drive into a computer and see if it is recognized and charges.
If so wait for it to charge and then:
1. Unplug the drive.
2. Remove the back casing
3. Remove the battery
4. Wait 15 seconds
5. Replace the battery and casing and press the power button.
If the computer does not recognize the MP3 player its days are probably over. If it does not charge the battery is likely broken.
i have the same problem. Couple days ago i changed the battery from another sansa clip ant it worked fine, pc recognized sansa again :/ i think that the battery is dead , detailier the microchip wich is on the battery..
Download and install the firmware updater.
If that doesn't resolve, your player may really have a hardware issue. The battery is not replaceable by the consumer. My reccomendation is to exchange it with the store. If that fails, redeem your warranty through Sandisk (hope you saved your receipt).
their are over 11000 problems with this sansa 4GB player. IT is strongly recommended not to buy this ...My screen frozen, computer undection USB, songs deleted by itself, something error.and ETCCCCCCCC>.. latino, ur right, try reseetinn it , then unistall drive..might fix the problem..good luk ..
