Eee PC...NO PICTURE (Very Strange) URGENT!!!

This notebook is not designed to work on such an outdated platform. XP was for year 2000 not 2010/11
If you load Win7 and the motherboard drivers you should have no more problems.

Depends on the type of encryption used, you might have to reformat the card, but you lose all the data in the process.

There might be a way to get Pictures off of it by inserting it into a camera, and then copying the pictures to the camera or plug in the cord for the PC and you might be able to access it that way.
Be carefull not to format the card in the process.

remove the the batteries and try only with power adapter.

Get your hands on Hiren's boots-cd from http://www.hiren.info/ or piratebay or any other place you find. Burn it on a cd or on an usbstick (follow the instructions at hirens.info) then boot your computer with this cd/usb-stick.

You will find that there is 3-5 password-tools you can use. Use the first one and clear your password.

Reboot without hiren's connected and login to your account.

Done.

This solution for Phone that have execution file name : unlockMMC.app on folder z:\system\app\
Note :
Not all S60 Phone have this execution file.
To unlock Memory Card :
- Run execution file unlockMMC.app
- Enter new Password you like (example "12345")
- Run app Memory (Phone app Memory Standard)
- Choose To Unlock MMC with that new password

Every times you set to lock ur Memory Card with lock password , phone made a file to save your password with file name mmcstore - you can find ths file in folder c:\system\.
Note :
To see the file you must set ur file browser app to show hidden files.

To get your Lock Password :

- Send that file into your PC
- Change file extension with .txt
- Open that file using app Notepad
- You will see your lock password

or

(This way not always success)
- Make sure that your phone have app Notepad
- Copy that file into other folder
- Change its attribute not a system file and not a hidden file
- Change its extension with .txt
- Run app Notepad on your Phone
- Open that file
- You will see your lock password

get a application named mmcpwd ..its free ..google it and doanload...if you dont get then ask me..install & run it..it will show your password....or it might show some strange characters.But dont worry.just switch it off & turn it on again..You wil find your memory card unlocked. (N:B-the application is for nokia phones.Hope yours is nokia )

I'm doing this from memory because I don't have an Asus handy. Reboot the machine press F11 to get into BIOS before the password screen comes up. You may have to try this several times. I've never tried this but I read on the Asus site that if you press CRTL-ALT Del while the unit is booting, that will put it into Administrator mode. Leave the password it asks for blank.

The quickest way I've found to change a password is before you go into BIOS and run all our discs take out the CMOS Battery! The password is in volatile memory which is only supported when power is applied to it. You will also have to take out all batteries and chargers attached to device. Wait about 45 seconds then leave the CMOS Battery out until you are sure the password is cleared then remove all power and reinstall CMOS Battery.
