Denon 3802 I have a Denon 3802 for around 7 years and it is a great receiver. However just recently if i push the Amp hard i am finding that the DTS/Dolby digital output is randomly switching to 5 channel mode or stereo mode. Can you suggest anything?

Denon 3802 connected to blu ray player but playi g dvds, how do i get dd 5.1?

You cannot get 5.1 sound from DVDs that are not encoded with 5.1 sound. They may be stereo, which will only send sound to the main front L/R speakers.

My denon avr 3802 reads no back speakers and there is no power to them. any ideas

You must TELL it it has back speakers and assign the amplifiers for them. It's in the manual. Page 10-12.

AM,NEED REMOTE CONTROLL DENON AVR-3802 HOW I,BUY?

I had the same problem. Unfortunately Denon no longer mfgs. the remote for this receiver,
their solution is to offer a remote for a "similar" model. Problem is it doesn't work on all the
functions for the AVR-3802. My solution was to purchase an aftermarket universal remote
(Logitec Harmony 550 in my case}. The cost was a little less (approx. $90) vs. the price
quoted by Denon (somewhere around $120), and it works on all the functions.

I don't know if a budget priced remote (All-in-one, etc.) would be able to do th same.
There are several different programmable remotes on the market that should do the trick,
Logitec just happens to be one of them.

Good Luck

Denon AVR-3802 Problem

Check that your speaker cables are not touching each other at the amp end and also at the speakers as this will cause the amp to shut down.

hope this helps.

Denon 3802 Amp issue

check the output res. from the DVD, your Denon may not pass high res 720p, 1080i or 1080p and also check the component assignment in the Denons setup
