Cleaned inside of door windows, need help putting back together.

I unscrewed the oven door to clean the windows inside. Now that I'm done, I have two thin, long(1&1/2 inch) brown pieces that I have no idea where they go. If I can get some help that would be greatly appreciated!

Those are your door spacers... the screws that you took out first go from the inside of the door and threw the spacers and then into the handle.

On my frigidaire gallery series oven, how do you clean the glass of the oven door window (between the inside and outside)?

Tools needed: good Phillips head screwdriver or small quad bit driver.
A. Open Door remove 2 screws and washers on door lining at door hinge area.

B. With door in broil stop position lift door assembly off hinges.

C. Lay door on table, position so that handle hangs freely over edge of table

D. Remove 2 screws and washers that secure handle to lining assembly.

E. Remove 8 screws that attach textured steel door wrapper trim to lining assembly 3 at top, 3 at bottom, 1 on each side

F. Lift door lining up and out of wrapper trim assembly.

G. Lay lining assembly on table with wool shield/inner part of lining facing up.

H. Remove 2 glass clamps via 2 screws per clamp. These clamps attach innermost clear glass to wool shield.

I. Lift out center clear glass from wool shield, this glass just lays onto the wool shield and is held in place by the glass/ clamps in item H.
J. Clean each glass with appropriate cleaner, Windex, bon ami, fantastic, etc

K. One glass that remains in door lining assembly can at this time be cleaned without further disassembly the lining assembly.

L. Reassemble in reverse order.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. It is hard to take apart without breaking it! It is held together with all plastic clips and they break! But you can by putting a putty knife in the inside door seam all the way around and pry the clips down to pop the door apart.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

How do I get the door open after self cleaning and what do I push to self cleaning

Hi, Some ovens are self cleaning During the cleaning process, the oven heats up to a temperature of 900 degrees Fahrenheit. The extreme heat cooks off food and spills inside the oven, leaving ash that can easily be wiped out. The oven door locks while it is cleaning to prevent the door from being opened. Self cleaning ovens are better insulated than regular ovens to keep the extreme heat inside.

Instructions

Read the owner's manual that came with your oven before you perform self cleaning. Although all self cleaning ovens work basically the same way, there may be slight variations for some manufacturers and models.

Take out the oven racks. You need to clean the oven racks by hand, and then put them back in when the oven is done cleaning.

Wipe up any spills and messes inside the oven first, using warm water and a mild soap. Ovens smoke more during cleaning when there is food inside. Wash the inside of the oven door as well. Do not scrub the door gaskets, just gently wipe them off. Damaging the gaskets prevents the oven from sealing.

Lock your oven door manually if your model does not lock it automatically when you clean.

Open a window near the oven for ventilation. There is a certain amount of smoke when you clean the oven. The dirtier the oven is, the more smoke is created.

Turn the control on your oven to "clean" and set the timer for 2 to 5 hours depending on how dirty your oven is, and what the manufacturer recommends.

Wait for the cleaning to finish and the oven to cool before opening door. When oven is fully cooled wipe up any ash inside. If your oven is not completely clean, next time set the timer for longer. If your oven is spotless you might want to see if you can get away with a shorter cleaning time.

Tips & Warnings

Because self cleaning ovens are better insulated, they are more energy efficient when used for cooking. However, if you run the self cleaning feature on your oven more than once a month, you offset the savings you realized. With light to moderate use your oven should be able to be cleaned every one to three months.

Save on the electricity used with a self cleaning oven by cleaning the oven right after use at a high temperature. For example, if you set your oven to clean after making French fries at 450 degrees, it takes less energy to get the oven up to the required 900 degrees.

If you have pet birds, take them out of the house before cleaning your oven. Over heated cooking surfaces, oils and fats, can create fumes that are harmful for a bird's delicate respiratory system.

Hope it helped.

I JUST WANT TO REMOVE THE OVEN DOOR TO CLEAN THE INTERIOR SURFACE OF THE DOOR GLASS

If you mean between the inner and outer panes of glass; you will regret it. It's likely that both are mounted with a fragile heat-proof mineral (non-asbestos) gasket material that may crumble once the panes expose it.

I self cleaned the oven for 4 hours and it worked great. I decided to take the front glass off to clean inside it. it was quite dirty inside and the self clean did not effect it. Once I put everything...

The procedure to Disassembling the door is as follows:-- 1. Set the oven door wide open. 2. Lift the hinge jumpers with your thumb and index fingers, then turn them fully outwards to the end of stroke. 3. Turn the door towards the closure position and lay it on the jumpers: in this way the hinge's spring is blocked. By fully closing the door the hinges are unhooked from the connection slits which are integral with the oven muffle. 4) Re-assemble the door by carrying-out the aforesaid operations in the opposite order. Disassembling of the door glasses:-- for your safety, before removing the glasses you should remove the oven door. To facilitate the cleaning, after having removed the door from the oven, you can proceed with the disassembly of the glass. Release the two upper blocks so that the glass can be removed. After the cleaning you should reassemble the glass, replace the blocks and lock into position. Check that all components have been assembled correctly and than you can re-assemble the door onto the oven. check fig:-- For more help click this link directly. The model and brand is different in the picture but the procedure to assemble the door is similar to your model http://www.partselect.com/ModelFrames.aspx?ModelID=1015781&ModelNum=plef398aca&ManufactureID=4&Selected=QN7WQCV6&Position=1&mfg=Frigidaire&Type=Appliance&Mark=3 Thanks. Yesterday I cleaned my inside glass of my cooker (moffat94971100) The sealant popped and I have a loose glass. I have found sealant however how do I get the door off and weigh down the glass is there any...

Hi.

Normally there is a clip on both door hinges to allow easy door removal.

Once door is removed place on a towel on a flat surface. You will find a couple of screws on the top of the door and possibly underneath. Unscrew these and the two halves of the door should come appart. The inner glass is held in place with high temperatute oven sealant. You will need to thoroughly scrape the old sealant from inside inner door and on glass.

Apply sealant bead to inner door (but not too close to the edge) and then gently lower the cleaned glass on to the sealant. Press down gently. Now the sealant must have 24hrs to completely set so place a towel over the glass and place some heavy objects on the towel. House bricks are good if you have any.

Once dry you can then screw both door panels together and refit oven door.

Stove

We cleaned the inside of our glass door today, it was easy but unfortunately we had a problem. Hopefully this will help you avoid the problem we had which shattered the outside glass on the door.
1) Open the door all the way, but put some support under the door to prevent it from dropping. It helps if you have someone else support the 2 halves of the door.
2) There are 2 screws on the top inside of the door. Carefully loosen both screws. This will detach the front of the door from the back and allow you to clean it. BUT, this is important: Do not allow the inside of the door the swing back toward the closed position as this will cause the glass to shatter.
3) Open the 2 halves of the door only enough to get your hand in and clean the glass. Avoid moving the doors while cleaning and avoid excessive pressure on the clean when cleaning.
4) Once you finished the cleaning carefully place the doors back together and tighten the screws.

Need help putting GE oven door back together again

they're called towers. They go on the 2 long screws once you've put the screws through - so they go between the two panels. They are used to space the 2 panels so that they line up flush when they are back together.
