Can you explain if its the initial logon to enter the bios and set up; or the windows log on to boot into your desktop

you may have a corrupt log in, when booting up press F8 to get into safe mode and a simple menu screen will show, you can either choose 'Last known good configuration' by highlighting it and hitting enter, the system will then reboot into windows, or choose start windows in safe mode, again highlight and hit enter and this time you will see an administrator account.

Use this account to to get into windows then in control panel click the user accounts icon and create yourself another account and then restart the pc.

Boot the pc as normal and try logging into windows with your new account and if you need to you can transfer all your files over to your new account as you will see that my pics and my docs are foldered under yourname pictures and yourname docs for example under your old account name just copy and paste into your new folders.

Hi, I bought a laptop from a dealer, 8 years ago. It had a Vista windows on. When it crashed a few days ago, I realized I did not get a windows and word C.D. with it, it was loaded on to my laptop....

The key at the bottom is likely to be an OEM key and will only work with an OEM disk. You can contact the dealer and they should provide you with the disk, or even better a restore disk. Failing that you'll have to procure one, legally!

I have a frozen acer travelmate netbook that had frozen drive d and c. whenever i open my laptop, it freezes after displaying windows xp. i tried using ctrl+alt+del / ctrl+alt+shift / ctrl+shift+esc but...

sounds lile your Windows operating system or hard drive has become corrupted or damaged. Try to repair Windows or reinstall it using an external optical drive and your Windows CD or restore/recovery CD. If might also be necessary to fully reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows. If that still fails, it might indicate a failing hard drive

Asus L7200 without video driver

Hi,

This is the best way to download the drivers of all your devices which are connected to the system for free.

You can download the Driver Magician from this link :

http://www.toggle.com/lv/group/view/kl34858/Driver_Magician.htm

Download the reg key from this link :

http://public.box.net/paul123

then doule click & select ok.

Run the program and select update drivers, it will list the list of pdated drivers.

Select the drivers and select download drivers.

If it does not download just select the driver you need and at the bottom you would see a link,

Just copy that link and download from your browser or download manager, I use orbit downloader.

Laptop blue screens when trying to reinstall vista

The problem might be with the bad sectors on a hard drive. You should run Scan Disk on a partition where you were trying to install Windows Vista.
