I have had my LG 4010 for over 4 yr and now it won't indicate a full (bars) charge while I am trying to charge it. The charger red led light is on. I suspect several things, either one end or the other of the charger has some bad wiring, the phone end of the charger has bad terminals, the phone itself has bad terminal connection or the phone battery has gone bad all at once and won't show a current charging status. I don't know how to determine the cause and I don't have another charge cord or battery for this model/brand. Please advise me as to what could have gone wrong even though the charger LED light is lit ??? I will be waiting for some assistance, Thanks kourso [email protected]

If u have a multimeter do check the output of the power supply for the voltage if it is ok then check the battery and check the supply is coming to the battery point to charge it if not the charging ic is defective do check that

All you need to do is shut down your device, remove the battery if possible and use something small, such as a toothpick, to 'lever up' the little tab inside the USB port on your smartphone or tablet. Do so very carefully and gently, then reinsert your battery and plug it in again.
or this.
If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
This situation sometimes occurs when the batteries get overcharged. Use the phone for a day and then attempt to charge. If it still won't charge, remove the battery for about a minute. Then re-install the battery and attempt to charge. If that doesn't clear the problem, you may need to get a new battery.

Hi,
Please, try using another charger with the phone.
If the problem continues, get a screw driver, unscrew the phone and bring the charging port out. The charging port is at the tail end of the phone.
Clean the surface of the panel where the charging port contact the panel with a spirit and allow it to dry for 30 minute. Couple back the phone and i am sure the charging phone will work fine.
