ATM im having alot of problems with videos on my P2, originally when i first bought it, i am pretty sure it played almost every format, MP4 to flv, but not for sum unknown reason it doesnt, and even the software emodio, (which is ****) wont even recognise these videos and when it does it doesnt even transfer into the emodio library. Really ticking me off. P2=great but there is a few teething problems that you dont get with ipods.

My mp4 is not playing videos pls tell step to use

Your player can play video file if its format is WMV9 or SVI. It should be the best if you installed the Samsung Media Studio software on your PC and used this for transferring video files to the device. This program will provide that the transferred video files can be played correctly.
This software is on the CD you should have got together with your device.
Additional step to use description can be found in the user manual.
Thanks.

How do i restore deleted games to my samsung p2?

Hello,

Games for the YP-P2 can be downloaded, see next site:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP00&prd_ia_cd=03041300&prd_mdl_cd=YP-P2JAB%2FXEU&prd_mdl_name=YP-P2JAB%2FXEU&prd_ia_sub_class_cd=P

Select the Downloads tab and next Firmware.
Under Description look for the word Games. For Win XP / Vista there's
a zip file available (firmware at least upgraded to version 5.08).

Download the zip file "20080717110554593_Games_worldwide.zip":
right click on the file and
next select "Save target as..."

Deleting songs

Go into the settings options. Go to system, then Format. It will ask you if you are sure. Click yes and it will delete everything from your player.

Lost media studio installation cd, now wat? + wenevr i put a video on my p2, it says ''not supported format''

Use Emodio, and emodio.com. Its better than the samsung program anyway. You can get them both at the samsung site, just look up by your model number and go under the pic and click the software tab

Not really a problem...just need some advice

I just picked up this player after reviewing it for a couple of months from best buy for $149 (8 gb version). it comes with the most up-to-date firmware already on it (i have firmware 5.10 on it now) so it eliminated the hassle of getting an older one and having to update the firmware on it.

as for the player itself, its wonderful. I upgraded from the samsung T9 to this one and i have noticed a drastic improvement in the sound and image quality. The features the YP P2 have on are outstanding for such a "low-budget" device (subway map, FM radio, voice recorder, bluetooth, alarm clock, make calls on your phone via the mp3 player, etc.)

As for sync-ing files from your computer to the player, you have to use the Emodio software to synch any necessary files. Since having my older samsung i am familiar with the emodio/ samsung media software, however it is very easy to use and to sync. All you have to do is locate the files on your pc, bring it to the library for Emodio, and then literally click-and-drag over to the mp3's window and it syncs automatically. I have not had any problems synching videos, pics or songs (so far, lol).

If you want a high quality player that has a big enough screen to watch videos and still fit comfortable in your pocket, as well as packed with a bunch of programs and a premier quality video/ audio player, then do yourself a favor and get the samsung YP-P2.

Transferring text files to YP-P2

It is possible to download text files onto the Samsung Yp-P2.
You can use the Samsung Media Studio to download the document onto the device. The only format I know works for sure is *.txt, haven't tried other formats

P2 player

The video formats have to be in .svi thats the only format the player can pick up, emodio or the media player should do this. If not you could try to download a file converter and convert them into the right format maybe.
