Question about Coby MPC756 MP3 Player

Hello I have a Rca mp3 player and when itry to turn it on the light will come on and then shut down even when i plug it into my compter it does the same thing

I have a mixsonic mp3 player and everytime i download music on to it it says its in the memmory but when you go to the music files it shuts down

You most likely have not turned the player off. Connect to your USB port, switch on the player using the slide switch on the side. The screen will light up. To make the battery charge, turn off the player by holding down the 'play' button until you get the bye-bye message. A couple of seconds later the screen will go black and the battery will start charging. Leave overnight if the battery is dead flat.

ahha just unlock ur mp3 isnt there a lock button?> just unlock then turn back on.

Run the installation CD first, before connecting.
Are you running vista? You may need a clean version of the installation software from RCA's website.

Mp3 player says key locked system shut down

I had this same problem on another RCA player.. with no instructions manual it was hard to figure out what keys locked meant. Then I noticed a little slider on the side of the player, it has a little icon of a pad lock on it. Once I slid this back, the keys lock problem went away and I was able to listen to my music once again.

My best guess of what keys locked means.. you don't want you mp3 player to turn on when you put it in your pocket with your keys, so you change the slider to be locked, when your sit down and your keys are pressing against your on button, the mp3 player will shut off... as we all have experienced in frustration.. saving your battery.

Perhaps RCA should make this slider bright orange so it pops out and does not blend in so much, or they should put it right next to the on button.

Have you tried resetting it? Theres a small opening on the back. Use a blunt object to press the reset button and then plug it in to your P.C. that will reboot it.

Hey

It is easier to reformat the mp3 player. When the mp3 is plugged in to the PC, go to my computer, the double click the mp3 player there. You will see internal storage, right click that and click format. You will lose all the stuff on the mp3 player.
