I am having the same problem with my Hitachi TV. 43fwx20b, it will not turn on and no power. HELP!!

NO picture ,NO sound, fuses ok. Got 4 green led's and 1 red led on Power supply.

Must be a common pblm. Well it's solved!! we bit the bullet and had the main video board replaced for $400 and all is well.

bad high voltage circuit. the audio is on a different power supply circuit so you will still get sound. refer to service tech

You need to replace the STK ICs they are big black ICs and will have Part # on them- STK392-110
Mats has ICs $9.95 1-800-628-1118

Replace both of your STK ICs they are big black ICs
will have Part number on them STK392-110s
if 110s upgrade to 150s! Call Mats Electronics for parts 1-800-628-1118 $9.95 each

I have a hitachi rptv model #43FWX20B and the picture has a red tint to it. Opened back up and red green and blue bulbs light up. red bulb stays bright while blue and green go dim to bright as tv plays....

Howdy;
Since you don't have any white lines with the red screen/picture I would say that the red bulb (CRT) is conducting too much. There is an adjustment control for that. The 'sceen' control is behind the speaker cover and service cover. Turn red screen control slightly to the left until you get a good black and white picture.

First have the convergence IC's replaced these are the two large black IC's mounted on an metal heat sink.

43FWX20B. Convergence problem.

Look for hidden screws in the board... that's all I can say from experience. Plus, for the three red HV leads, Push down into the block and turn. This should release them if there is no other visible means of mechanical retention.

This is a common problem with this TV, but there is an upgrade to correct the CONVERVGENCE circuit problem.
If you want to repair this concern yourself: Contact: B&D ENTERPRISES,
1-800-458-6053, www.bdent.com and ask for KIT10 for your Hitachi TV.
If you want some else to do the repair for you call an Authorized Service Center.

how do i hook up my ps3 to my hitachi hd tv model 43fwx20b my av cables i have tried plugging them into every place possible on every input possible and nothing works. It's possible the cables are bad but am I doing something wrong? Does it require an hdmi cord instead and if so where would i even plug that in as i havent seen an option. please help.
