Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
First, my sansa was not playing any of my songs because napster got screwed up and the sansa said "reconnect to continue music subscription" on the way to a vacation, about two hours after i disconnected it from the computer. when we got there, my dad tried to fix it and he asked me to put it into MTP mode, and from there it froze up while refreshing or whatever when it turns on. it would refresh really slowly and then turn black and not do anything except turn off, so obviously when i connected it to the computer (just in case it would help) the computer didnt recognize it. i turned it on and off several times to no avail. holding the power button down for almost thirty seconds didnt help either. i took off the back plate and took out the battery and held down the power button for a few seconds twice. no help there. THEN, i followed somebody's instructions and did the following: 1) Double click on My Computer so that you can see it on your screen. 2) Turn the player off. 3) On the top of the player is a Hold switch, move it to the right (toward the headphone jack) so you see Orange. 4) On the left hand side of the player is a Record button, press and hold it while connecting the player to the computer. Continue holding the Record button until you see a new icon under My Computer called 16MB FORMAT. Once you see that icon you may release the Record button. 5) Drag and Drop pp5022.mi4 from your PC to the 16MB Format folder. 6) Disconnect the player and look at the screen. Several things will be displayed, and when you see Key Lock, System Shutdown, move the Hold switch on the top back to the left. 7) Turn the player on and watch the screen. If you see a Refresh Database Fail error, you will need to follow steps 1-7 again until you do not get the error. If it does not work the first time, it could take up to 3 times for it to work several times (i repeated steps 1-7 at least seven times) and received the same error each time: "load main image failed switch to recovery mode" so my original problem of it freezing when i tried to turn it on elevated to it not turning on at all and saying that error ("load main image failed switch to recovery mode"). i am out of ideas. any help would be GREAT. thanks in advance! p.s., sorry about the long post.
For this problem i believe try to do the above steps. switch to recovery mode then connect the player to the computer. When the player is connected to the computer open the version.txt document and see if your firmware is up to date if not try to update the firmware of your player. I believe the latest one is 18 or something. If your firmware is up to date try to call sandisk, i had this problem once but they resolve it with the steps i have said.

The common misconception is that all e200 firmware updates will work with every Sansa. This is incorrect. You need to make sure your Sansa is not a "Rhapsody". If it is, go here http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1238
Rinse and repeat.

Usually answered in minutes!
i called customer support and after talking to an idiot for two days they FINALLY decided it was defective and that they would send me a new one after i mailed my defective one in.
dont tell them that yours is defective- they have to reach their own conclusion. just follow along with what they are saying (be patient) and in a little you will get a new one.
no erro sansa e250
what do they mean when they say drop and drag pp5022 waht is that or where is it located?
