Jim: 1. Did you also dried out the batteries or turn it on with the batteries still humid?? If turn it on with humid batteries you will have probably damaged the circuit segment of battery charging. 2. How youy dried the PSP by natural air or with a blower?? If by natural air, additional help with a hair dryer blower will be needed but not in maximum hot. Do not expose the components to excesive heat or permanent other components damage will occur. 3. Check is the gaming slot is dirty and apply 70% alcohol to it with a Q-Tip or so and let it set or dry for 10 minutes and re-try. SithPitt

I dropped my psp and it broke and won't turn on. I

Something more than likely chipped off/broke from the impact of the drop. Have you tried opening the PSP? *Note - opening your PSP will void your warranty.

Sony psp problem

Remove the battery for 15 minutes, connect the AC Adapter and install the battery again.
It that doesn't work, remove the battery again, wait 15 minutes, install it and plug the AC Adapter.
It's a weird problem but in my PSP i get around that way.
