Video controller driver problems ...i guess

I recently formatted my pc, a syntax S651M motherboard. I can't install my monitor's driver (for Samsung SyncMaster 753s). At "(Default Monitor) and Properties", which I reached by clicking Advanced at the Settings tab at display properties, there's no information at the Adapter tab. Clicking properties opens a new Dialogue box called VgaSave Properties this does show some information, but Manufacturer and Location are both unknown. When trying to install the monitor's driver from the CD, a dialogue box comes up, at the top it says "Pick the display adapter on which you want to install the monitor". I'm supposed to choose from a drop-down list, but it's blank. Any way, I select my monitor model in the box under that and click ok. I then get an error message that says: "Error occur,while installing monitor adaptor. (ErrorCode 259)". Thanks for your time.

CD came with the monitor. i'm convinced the problem's with not with the cd, i even downloaded the driver from the net and had the same result. I just did a google search for "vgasafe" and got thishttp://www.subwolf.org/v2/articles.php?a... but i couldn't get the driver from the link supplied there. not even sure if it's for my hardware. maybe you could see what's there and explain it to me. thanks.

Hey ke onda, acabo de solucionar el problema, tenia un monitor samsung syncmaster551v, pero no podia hacer ke generara las graficas como debe de ser, el problema es ke el driver de samsuing no es suficiente, se necesita de un adaptador para ke pueda instalarse, al no tener un adaptador seleccionado no instala nada, en mi caso, utilice un adaptador SiS 650_651_M650_740, supongo ke debe de ser un adaptador de la tarjeta madre, sobre el cual trabaja el driver de monitor samsung.

este metodo a mi me soluciono el problema, espero ke les pueda ser util

I'm still scratching my head. You have the actual Samsung software CD that came with your monitor? And it doesn't want to install. Is there a setup on the CD??
