TV screen wont turn on but just a loud noise coming from the tv

I bought Panasonic tv back in 1998. It was working fine until today. I press the power button but the tv screen wont turn on, no sound from the channels but then first this high pitch sound like a smoke detector then this low pitch whistling/hissing sound.I try to turn off the tv but then I can still hear that whistling/hissing sound. Help!

I think maybe the G-board needs to be replaced. A TV shop will have to repair it. They normally start around $200.00

Can't get my Panasonic LCD out of Standby.

I only have two solutions. Either, turn the tv on from the tv. or try checking the tv connection. If that doesnt work maybe the remote is out of battery.

Very loud fan or vibration noise

Listen from the back of the TV and locate the source of the noise. There may be fan with a bad bearing. The noise will lead you to it.
