Any help or advice would be most appreiated.
Thanks,

I found where the dip switches are supposed to be, behind the little rubber thing you have to remove. However, when I remove the rubber piece all I see is the back of a circuit board, no dip switches??? any Ideas?I found where the dip switches are supposed to be, behind the little rubber thing you have to remove. Re: DIP switch positions
Found them finally Pete - this is the service manual for the printer;
http://www.posguys.com/download/TML90_Peeler_TRG_RevB.pdf
Check page 45 of the pdf (page2-21 of the manual) for the location of the switches, the next 2 pages for the settings a bit clearer than on my previous post.
also probably worth a read through the rest, in case there are some other possible solutions - I couldn't find one but you might see something that sounds familiar.
Hope this helps, still trying to find a user manual direct link, will post it if i find one :)

When you are facing it. Open it and on the right hand side where Led lights located. Below it and inside are there is a dip switch cover that you should be able to remove. Hope this helps.
If epson tmt 81 is not printing test page then check for dip switch below the printer and also reinstall the printer driver & configure the port properly
I would like to say sorry to you I got my serial port mixed up with the parallel port. I have resolved the problem, it was a DIP switch change which needed to be set. If anybody can not get their computer to communicate with the printer then I would suggest they download the Epson Technical reference guide and read it thoroughly, but only use the guides for your method of connection which is dependent on your model of printer. I found that for a baud rate of 38400 DIP switch SW 1 numbers 7 & 8 should be switched to ON .I hope this helps some else.
I had the same problem with the user intervention required status on the printer. I tries reinstalling it several times through the Epson Driver Utility but got the same message each time. I got it to work after making two change but do not know which one (if either) got it to work. First i uninstalled the printer driver through Add/Remove Programs and not through the Driver Utility. I also set Dip switch 1-1 to on which enables auto line feed with parallel interface, with other interfaces this switch changes other things.
