When i turn on my hotpoint aquarius fdw60 it beeps then program light flashes and the pump runs. this is all it does no matter what button is pressed.
Ok, just a few minutes after posting this as a fault, I have opened the covers, the machine has a leak, the undertray has a sensor which has detected this, flashing light (prog 45 degC wash) flashing is a code to indicate leak sensor active.
Other prog lights flashing indicate a different fault, the following details each... this is a cut/paste from another forum site, copied without permission....

Cannot guarantee 100%accurate but you all might like
what the flashing fault codes actually refer to, note what follows are
pointers to what bit has gone wrong only. You should have the
programmes running left to right:
led1=intensive,led2=normal,led3=eco,led4=fast,led5=prewash,led6=delicate
wash.ok so when this heap of western european tosh goes wrong one or
two lights will flash this is what they mean:led3=m/ch has o/flowed
water . ie the base underneath has sensed a leak.4=i/let h2o valve u/s
or slow fill.5=thermister(electronic thermostat) is u/s or more likely
the pcb .6=timeout heating which means the thermister senser between
the door halves has become faulty or detached.3+4=no pump out, slow pump
out,pcb u/s,blockage.4+5=tap off i/let valve.3+5=wash motor not coming
on -seized,winding o/cic.but can also mean mesh plte filter badly
blocked.1+4software fault with pcb.4+6=heating cic u/s (usually the
heater tube )but can be the heater relay on pcb.3+4=pcb u/s.I don`t
except any responsiblity for this being spot on or near spot on!! hope
this helps someone.Try NOT to electrocute yourselves please!! If your
not at all confident walk away and get "someone" who knows what they
are doing.Cheers. jawa592

exact same problem with my FDW60, pump runs prog light flashes........no washing. First found yesterday morning, everything was washed, cabinet drained etc.., this morning it has not started washing, no water in drain well.
My dishwasher is flashing the eco button which suggests there is a leak. How do I find the leak?
