Cannot connect to sky router

Connect the machine to a router or a switch with a network cable.
In used mode, under network settings - set the machine to DHCP, so it will get an IP adress from the switch/router.
Print out a network status page, and see if you've got an IP adress.

In the command window on your PC type: ipconfig/all and see the IP adress of your computer. Compare it to the adress the machine got from the router/switch and see if they are almost identical apart from the last digits.

Install the driver, and install the printer using device name, and you should be good to go. Or you can set the IP you got from the switch/router as a static adress, and install the copier using the IP adress.

If you don't remeber the wireless security code, maybe you still remeber the user and password to access the web management interface of the router.
Then you have to connect the laptop to the router by using a network cable. Open a browser window, type in the IP adress of your router and check the wireless setup section. There you can find / modify the wifi security code.

If you don't know the router's IP adress, then open on your computer a ms-dos prompt and type the command
ipconfig /all

it will display your current IP adress, subnet mask and GATEWAY. The gateway adress is the router's IP adress that must be typed into the browser.

If you don't remember the user and password for accessing the router's web interface, please refer to the router's user manual in order to reset it to factory default configuration, and then proceed as for the first installation of the router.

there is no internet connectivity
check your router ip adress
check the computer ip adress is same range of router ip
if not,, please assign same range of router ip manually

do you have fixed IP address on your computer. ? that might be the reason if its diffrient from the routers. if thats not the case give a fix ip address to your computer which is in the range of your router and try to connect it.
examples if your router have default ip adress : 192.168.0.1 give your computer address as : 192.168.0.2 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 default gatway : 192.168.0.1

the ip address of your router by default should be "192.168.1.1". to check if the ip adress of your router here's the solution :

1. go to control panel > network and sharing/networking >change adapter settings
2. then you'll see your local area connection
   
3. right click on it>properties
4. double click on (internet protocol tcp/ip) "tcp/ipv4 in windows vista/7
5. the select "obtain ip address automatically" & "obtain dns server automatically" click ok and click ok for the other window
   
6. double click on your local area connection > details
7. the dns server ip show should be your router ip adress
8. open your web explorer and type in your router ip an press "enter" you'll get your router configuration where you'll be able to change the default ip.

the way it worked on my psp is first i searched 4 my post office router wich is very similar 2 a sky 1. it says the security was wep key. i cliked next and it asked 4 a ssid code. on da bck of my router it says it there so i typed it in. then it asked 4 a wep key. i typed dat in aswell. den i cliked my connection. it says connecting and den obtaining ip adress. aftawards it works. if it still doesnt work send me a message of the way u do it and i mite b able 2 help. i hope dis helped =)

you need to open a incoming port for the ps3 on your router all you have to do is use the computer to go to your router settings then use whatever ip the ps3 is using and open a port for that ip address that should work but i dont have a ps3 so i dont know you could try that

open ur web browser then enter ur router default ip adress and configure ur router then it will work

you will need the ip adress of the router and the user name and password enter ip adress in enternet browser it might ask for user name and password Then you would find a seting to protect it by a WEP password.
