Rinnai EnergySaver 308FTR Turning off

Our heater is turning off after about five minutes. We have two timers on the heater. We have tried turning it off to reset the timer. Not sure if it is to do with this, any help would be appreciated. It's freezing! Thanks, Georgie

You can read the heater's error messages from its internal memory - that should help. See page 32 of handbook (link above). Peter

A dirty filter will cause shut-off: is the FILTER lamp alight? Vacuum clean the filter if necessary. Are you sure you've set the timers properly? What temperature is set? LH figure is the desired temperature - RH side is temp measured by thermistor inside unit. If set too low, it turns heater off. Would like a manual for the rinnai energysaver 403FT we need to set our heater up so it goes on auto and how do we regulate the temperature and set time

The model number (403FT) has either been discontinued, changed or is incorrect. However, Model # RHE309FT closely matches the heater you described and has the timer and temperature features you are wanting to preset.

How to set timers

Rinnai energysaver 556f manual

Here is a link to the 556FTR from Australia.
They are all pretty much the same. The US site has similar info. Just google Rinnai. Open the site, go to resources tab and click downloads. The manuals are easy to locate.

pilot light won't stay lit. I hold the nob down for over a minute and the moment I let it go the pilot goes off. The flame seems to not come out as much as it used to last year. It used to come out c Pilot wont stay on, the moment I let go of the nob to turn it on the light goes out. I have buffed to thermacouple but the flame does not seem to be as close to the thermacouple as it used to.
