You have a stencil and use this to print ink in a design onto a material. You can also use more than one stencil to make different colored images. This is also known as silkscreening or serigraph printing.

Is screen printing easy?

The actual process of screen printing isn't technically difficult. The most difficult part is creating your print designs and acquiring all the equipment that you need to do screen printing.

I first started screen printing a few years ago as I wanted to make t-shirts for selling on Etsy. I watched a ton of YouTube videos on what to do and what equipment I needed to get started. After that, I searched the internet to find a reasonably priced supplier of screen printing consumables.

Once I had all my equipment, screen printing actually became quite easy. However, if you're not really sure where to start, I would definitely recommend watching some YouTube videos about screen printing before you invest in the equipment as it can cost quite a lot to get all of the supplies. What I will say is that screen printing is really fun and you should definitely try it if you haven't before.

Prt SC (Print Screen) does NOT send the screen to the printer!!
If your windows desktop is showing, Print Screen will capture the ENTIRE screen to the clipboard - Open Paint and Ctrl-V to paste the captured image into paint (or other graphics program).
If you want to capture only the active screen, use Alt-Prt Sc and do the same with it.

How do I get my prtscn to print straight

Instructions
  1. Use PrintKey2000 to Direct Print
    • 1Download and save PrintKey2000 or PrintKeyPro from the "Resources" section. Save the file in a folder named "Printkey" on your "C:" drive. Double click the .exe file and follow the onscreen instructions for a problem-free installation.
    • 2 Access the Print Key program by double-clicking the hand icon in the bottom right hand corner of the task bar.
    • 3 Double click the "Options" tab in the upper right hand corner. Click on "Define Hot-keys." Set a hotkey for printing the full desktop and for printing the active screen you are in.
    • 4 Navigate back to the "Options" tab and select "Direct Print (No Dialog)" so that it has a check mark next to it.
    • 5 Select the "Printer Options" function on the main program screen. Select the printer you want the print jobs sent to.
    • 6 Select a screen to use as a test. Press your hotkey for printing the full desktop and then the hotkey to print the active page. You want to make sure both functions work properly.
Use the Print Screen Function Without a Plug-in Program
    • 7 Press the "Print Screen" key on the keyboard to print the full desktop. Press the "Alt" key plus the "Print Screen" key to print the active window.
    • 8 Click "Start" in the lower left of the taskbar. Navigate to "Applications" and choose the Microsoft Paint program.
    • 9 Click "Edit" in the program screen and click the "Paste" option. You will now see a copy of your screen capture.
    • 10 Navigate to "File" and save the screen capture as a .jpeg file. Navigate to "File" again and click "Print" to send the job to an installed printer.
Using the Print Key Function with ScreenShot 2 Print
    • 11 Download and install ScreenShot 2 Print. ScreenShot 2 Print has a free trial option, and as of May 2010, costs $7 for the full version. Configure the program to print to a designated printer from the onscreen commands. The screen captures will print automatically when the required keys are pressed.
    • 12 Hold down the "Control" key (Ctrl) and the "Print Screen" key to capture a screen shot of the full desktop. The image will be sent directly to the designated printer.

Dell Keyboard Model: SK-8115 - Print Screen key does not work... when I press the Print Screen key nothing happens. Tried all combinations using Alt Ctrl... etc.

Pressing print screen itself does nothing noticeably. To capture your screen press ctrl + print screen or just print screen. Open up paint or a word document and paste it into it by pressing ctrl + v. An image of the previous screen capture should appear.

Cannot get print screen key to print o my selected printer

The print screen key doesn't actually print directly to your printer. It taks a screeshot of the the screen instead.

Try this.
1. Press the print screen key.
2. Open up Ms Paint or Ms Word.
3. Go to Edit and select Paste.
4. Go to File and select Print.

now you can print it to your print.

Print Screen key will not inititate the printer to print

Hi!

The Print Screen key on your computer doesn't really print the screen. What it does it take a picture of the screen, and puts it into your clipboard.

You can then Paste (Control-V) the image into a program such as Paint or Word.

Print Screen by itself does a full screen image capture.

Control-Print Screen only takes a picture of the topmost window.

I hope this helps.
