Hi all, i have been working on installing the 2nd lot of ram into the 2nd slot on my laptop, (under the keyboard). No trouble inserting it, but when i put everythign together and turned comp on. nothign would display on the screen. I switched ram,, and still the same. So it's not the ram, it's just appears to be the ram in that slot.. I have the original ram in there atm (516mb, or something).. Anyone help me out?
cheers
If your laptop working fine before install ram so that there should be problem with your ram only
check both rams are in same fsb there is no mater of capacity of ram (ie:512mb or 1gb)
like pc-2100

or 667
both rams are intall in same fsb on both slots.
check onother slot for desolding
clean tips of ram slots with iso propile for rusting.
my bro it is the problem of fsb i mantion before check that again.
