I have the same problem. The menu button went out on both phones. Amazing.

  • Anonymous Mar 12, 2009

Same here on ALL 5 phones. Can't chage menu's, no phone book, - nothing. Logic: It NOT any of the handhelds becuase it stopped on ALL phones at the same time; it HAS to be stemming from the base. I'll keep looking for a solution....

After cracked open the handset, I am pretty sure most of problem is not circuit issue. It's the sticky pad somehow aged. I put a small piece of aluminum foil between the rubber key pad and inner plastic conductive pad, and fixed it. No glue needed so far.

Have uniden dect 6.0 plug in system and landline .how d we delete 101 calls from the uniden after they have been dealt with on the land line

I believe you are asking how to delete the call ID log<?>.

If you can identifiy the (caller ID/right) key on the large round multifunction button of the handset, do the following.

To delete all the Caller ID numbers, press (caller ID/right) key when the phone is in standby. Press MENU/SELECT and select
Delete All. When the phone asks you to confirm, select Yes.

Notes:
• When you delete a Caller ID number, you delete it permanently.
• Caller ID numbers are stored separately in each handset. Deleting a record from one handset will not delete
the record from any other handsets.

I have lost my manual and i dont know how to record a personal message on my answering machine and how to enter the code to retrieve my messages from another phone.

From your handset, you just have to press the mute button, your phone should start telling you the time, date, ect. press the #5 key and then the #8 key and start recording your message. When finished press the # 8 key again. Hope this helps

The square cursor button does not work on the uniden dect 2080

I fixed mine by using tiny pieces of tinfoil. Just take the back plate off (held by 2 screws under the battery cover). Then remove the circuit board (one screw on top). You'll find that the Square Button is in deed different, using 4 rubber contacts that apparently wear out. So, just cut some tiny pieces of tinfoli to cover each of the 4 black contacts. Glue them in place with a dab of silicone... Viola!!!

On my model 8885 uniden phone, when I try to store a # the screen say's memory full. I only have two numbers stored. help

These phones use a "Shared" memory, the CID information and the Phone book information share the same memory chip. If you clean out the caller ID data you should be able to load more numbers in the phone book. Since you have an 8885 I am assuming you have TCX800 or TCX905 handset(s), to clear the CID memory, Follow these steps:

Deleting Information from the Caller ID List
1) When the phone is in standby mode, view the Caller ID
information to be deleted (see "Viewing the Caller ID
List" on page 50).
2) Press the DELETE soft key. De let e C all er ID appears.
3) Press volume up/down to choose Yes.
4) Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone.

To delete all the CID information follow these steps:

Deleting all Caller ID names/numbers
1) When the phone is in standby mode, press cid.
Press the DELETE soft key. De let e A ll? appears.
2) Press volume up/down to choose Y es.
3) Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone
