just had the same problem, check the connection going into the top part of the scanner at the back and restart which ever program your using... got mine sorted
I've had a similar problem with the streaks, lines and color bleeds appearing in the scan. Try uninstalling the all software and drivers for the scanner and reinstall. Worked for me. Have had to do this a couple of times since I've owned the scanner... about three to four years now.
I think you should urgently do a color adjustment. By 8 years using the lamp become darker and the light spectrum change in some wave lenghts the intensity. If you are using silverfast you should use a silverfast calibration target. Good luck !
1) In the program you are working from, begin the scanning process. If working in FULL AUTO MODE as the scan begins click PAUSE or CANCEL, then change "Full Auto Mode" to "Home Mode". 2) You will now see all Epson Scan settings displayed. If the scanner has not previewed automatically, click the large preview button to get a visual of what is on the scanner. 3) Ensure the settings on the Epson Scan are correct for what you wish to scan.
You need to reset your scanner's color management settings to default.. Which utilty software r u using?Arcsoft Photostudio? If yes go to Edit ->preferences Set RGB settings to the same level(adjust the slider next to red)
If it doesnt work or u r not using arcsoft..post back..
The problem is simple.Someone or somehow the "TYPE OF ORIGINAL" option on ur SCANGEAR CS window.Set it back to "MAGAZINE" or "PHOTO" and it should scan in color.
