The issue is with the main board circuits on your set not detecting signal on HDMI ports or selecting those ports.
How about your other inputs - do they work? Have a feeling they also will be dead. If course you can always feed the dvd rf signal to your set but the audio and video will not be up to current standards but it will work like that.

SOURCE: Unlocking of Samsung BD-P1500

I have a new BD-P1500, and after 5 Times

The trick seemed to be not holding the repeat key too long.

I have a Region B/4, running
090417_01_BDP1500_XAX.RUF
I used the R4 code from below.

1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.
2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner
3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
In this case Repeat 76884

Now it to me about 5 tries to get this to work, It needed to be done without delay.
So if you don’t get it to work straight away don’t loose heart.

4) When it works a 4 will appear in the top left corner

5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.

8) Power the unit off

9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.

From other threads I got the follow list of region codes.

R1 - 29334
R2 - 57538
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462

SOURCE: SAM BD-P1500 Remote won't work with Sharp LC-32D43U

If you are trying to use the remote that came with the dvd player you most likely can't get it to work with the TV. If it IS in fact a universal remote, then you need to check the codes that come both with the tv and with the remote. Post back with any more questions or info for further help. Thanks for choosing Fixya!

SOURCE: Need code for included blu-ray universal to work with an Olevia TV

if Samsung never included the brand Olevia on there remote, then its not going to work because it was never design to work with that brand. The only way to get around that is to get a learning remote or universal remote that has olevia pre program into the remote.. Olevia did come out with some learning remotes that is able to learn from other remotes.. the model its called Olevia RC-LRN ..
This company called Amergence Technology sells the RC-LRN remote made by Olevia contact them at this toll free number 866-965-3842

SOURCE: When trying to connect my 4695D to a new Sony Blu

The problem has been solved. A previous post to this site was having a similar problem hooking up a Playstation Blu Ray player to the same TV.

A solution was posted to that problem and I followed the same instructions.

It has to do with the set up porgram on the Blu Ray component. You need to select Settings then 108024Bit needs to be set to off.

Why wont my samsung dvd-vr357 play blu ray disks

Educated guess is you need a blu ray player. I have several very expensive Pioneer Elite DVD players and they cannot play blu ray. Blu ray is a multi level glorified DVD which you need at least a blu ray player to play in almost all cases.

You can play dvds on a blue ray but not the reverse in most cases. If you play a dvd on a blu ray player it kicks the video up to HD for the DVD.

How to fix my samsung tv

What's the source of the signal for the LN-R328W. The mode not supported message shows up when the source signal is not compatible with the TV. For example: if the source is a computer, use a different monitor to make sure that the refresh rate is 60Hz. Next, turn on the TV and set it to the VGA source before you turn on the computer. (Most modern computers will then see the TV as a monitor and set the correct resolution.) Note: this TV can't support an HDMI signal from a computer. (The signal is different than that for a Blu-ray player or HD set-top box.)
For game stations, you may need to check the manual for the box to set the resolution for your TV.

I hope this helps.

Cant figure out to hook up keeps saying no signal with hdmi cable to tv and blu ray put in

What kind of TV are you hooking the dvd player up to ? You may have to go into the TVs menu and set the input to the proper resolution or input style to see a picture. The dvd outputs a 1080i and if the TV is set to 720p it may not show a picture, the dvd output can also be changed to match the TV.

Samsung LN-T4042H 40" LCD

This may not really be a solution to your problem, but here it goes. If you are not sitting a particular distance from your tv you will experience slight pixelation. I have this tv myself and I think it looks great. Now when I am sitting up close on a station that is broadcasting in 720p(which is pretty much every HD station) It looks only pretty good...I sit back and it is fantastic. The good rule of thumb is take the number or inches your TV is in yours and my case 40, divide by 10 and then multiply by 2...and that is the number of feet you should be for optimal viewing distance. So 8 feet, you would be surprised to see how sitting this magic number away makes a difference.
