I have noticed that the camera goes through batteries faster than it used to, but now even with new batteries in, the low battery light comes on and it automatically shuts off. I can't even take one shot. Help!

Tried to turn on one time and noticed the power light flick off as soon as it came on and repeated to the same avail. New batteries and same problem. It wont turn and stay on. Memory flap door is fine to.

My camera started shutting off out of no where. Had nothng to do with the power save feature. Then started going through fully charged batteries too fast. Then sometimes would turn on, other times would not. May get 1 picture, maybe not. Tried new batteries before and problem was solved temporarily. Now, I cannot even get camera to turn on. It gave up on me completely. Tried new batteries. Was this camera a waste or do I still have hope????? The card slot is fine. The flash will not close, but when I held closed, still camera would not go on. I cannot afford a new one!

I am having the same problem!!  It used to work wonderfully, now fresh batteries, even fully charged ones don't work!  Maybe 1 pic, if I am lucky.  The troubleshoot in the manual says to check the battery terminals and clean them, but with what??  I am very disappointed.  I miss my old regular 35mm.  Plus it takes 5 second delayed shots.  I don't get the shot right as I take them.  Forget action shots...

My camera worked fine on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon, it wouldn't come on at all. The only thing that did happen, was the red light on the front flashes once when I turn it to the picture view setting. I recharged my batteries and nothing. I cleaned the battery terminals...nothing. I've had the camera for a couple of years now and it seemed to work awesome....until 3 days ago. :(

  • 3baseman Dec 25, 2008

Yup, exact same problem. The batteries are good and I cleaned the ends with an eraser, checked the memory door, removed and reinserted the memory card, and tried a 4.5V DC plug-in adapter (with the correct polarity). The green light sometimes comes on and sometimes I can switch to the LCD screen, but as soon as I hit the button to take a picture the camera goes dead.

Check the memory flap door - the on the eop their is a small prog which tells the camera that the memory door is closed its probably brokne like mine and then it will not turn on. Andrew

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

How do you load the batteries?

The batteries are incorporated into the photo pack and are not replaceable separately. All original Polaroid photo packs are now so far out of date that the batteries are useless

Fresh, newly manufactured compatible photo packs are now available from The Impossible Project, but the material is absolutely not the same as the original Polaroid product.

All details are on The Impossible Project website.

When I turn the console on, the logo pops up an says "V Smile Motion." However, if I put a game in and turn it on, it does absolutely nothing.

This worked for me!
Ttry removing all of the batteries or unplugging the power cord..and holding down the "ON" button for about 45 seconds. Then replace the batteries (be sure they are fresh) and try your product again. It is somewhat of a "hidden" Re-Set button.

When i turn on, it says lens error, restart camera - i"ve turned the camera on and off several times and nothing happens, the error message continues to show. I've taken the battery out and put back in but...

Try one of these two fixes, if they dont work for you follow the link below for further troubleshooting.

http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Fix #1: Remove the batteries from the camera, wait a few minutes. Put a fresh set of batteries back in (preferably rechargeable NiMH 2500mah or better) and turn the camera on. If that didn't work, try pressing and holding the Function or OK button while turning the camera on.
Fix #2: If the camera's batteries ran down completely while the its lens was still open, the camera may show a lens error or not start properly when new batteries are installed. Remove the memory card and keep it removed, then install the new batteries. When you turn the camera on with the card removed it may come back to life, as this triggers a reset in some cameras. Error E30 (for older Canon's) means that you don't have a memory card installed, so turn it off, slip in the SD card and turn it on one last time

No electrical power to my bike.

Try another Ignition switch to see if any power is available. Unfortunately this is a problem that can't be solved here, wiring is something that needs to be diagnosed by someone working on the bike.

My calculator completely shut down and now I cant turn it on. I tried taking out the batteries but that was no the problem!! what should i do?

Hi there,

Be sure the contacts for the batteries are clean, shiny and free of any corrosion.

To be absolutely sure it is not a battery problem, replace the old ones with fresh new ones. Mine is pretty finicky too.

My logitech cordless number pad for notebooks keeps turning off despite fresh new batteries. I have re-set it a couple of times but to no avail. I drum away at the number pad (connected via usb) but to...

Unplug it when you're not using it.

If you keep it plugged in at all times, it will always register as being used, and in turn, constantly use battery life. If you unplug it when not in use, or just take out the batteries when you're not using it, you should find that they will last longer.

My Logitech cordless numbepad keeps turning off, despite fresh batteries, and isn't working.

The pad is defective. Why not get a brand new one? It does not cost much though.

Cheers.
