Keeps coming up with F5 Error code, anyone know how I can fix it?
This worked for me:
First empty the machine by lowering the hose at the rear to ground level into a container. Take off the white plastic cover on rear at bottom. You will see black rubber hose connected to barrel of machine in right hand corner. Undo the silver screw on the band securing the hose. (Biggest band). You can now pull the hose down to reveal a "table tennis like" ball. Lift it out carefully and you will probably find an obstruction like a coin or similar. I found a hairgrip but it was enough to stop the ball functioning. DO NOT TAKE OFF THE WHITE HOSE CLIPS

Further to my comments re clearing scrap from table tennis ball after code F4. Machine started ok but then F5 came up. Had to take the pump off and apart to reveal broken hairclip actually seized in pump. If you are handy at all this is simplicity itself.
Slide pump to left and lift and it comes clear. Take off 2 black hoses only where connected to main machine. Pull off electrical connection. Pump and hoses lift out easily. 3 screws open the pump. Clean any obstruction and reassemble. A 30 minute operation.

this was helpful, however i found i could not remove the black pipe without removing the white clip which is easy to do, simply push one side up and oine side down they inter lock do not pull outwards. unfortunately it i could not find a blockage so i may have what the first guy had pcb problem, but its well worth trying this first just incase even if all you do is clean it up as its pretty messy.
I had the F-05 code and found this thread. I was tempted to simply ditch the machine and buy a new one, bearing in mind the potential labour costs and hassle. However, I tried suggestions of both gigwiggin and pulmicort and appear to have resolved the problem now. There were a couple of minor differences, for example, the main black rubber hose was connected to the bottom of the drum with a one of the white clips with push together teeth. This was removed by pushing the two sides in different directions (one up and one down). Having removed one clip, I decided to remove two further white clips (one to the waste hose and one to the pump) and the metal clip (with a screw tight mechanism) fixing an unknown element. This meant that I could remove the pump as described above (remove the wire and slide pump to left having pushed up the fixing clip on the bottom).
In the main black hose was the table tennis ball and below this (wedged in the plastic holder) were a metal shirt collar stiffener and a coin). I opened the pump (3 screws) and inside this I found a hairclip. I cleaned all the hoses, the inside of the pump and the the plastic holder for the table tennis ball. I reassembled everything and the only tricky part was each white hose clip - you can push the two sides together so that the teeth engage and the clip is closed, but I used an adjustable monkey wrench to carefully push the two sides together even further.
I used the machine straight after and the first cycle was fine, no F-05 code and no obvious leaks. Fingers crossed this has fixed the problem. Whilst an engineer may have taken less time than me, I think it was 3 hours of my time well spent (I took more than 30 minutes because I kept checking eveything but was also working in a quite a confined space and had a few false starts on various elements!)

Hi its a pressure switch fault, but its more than likely that the pcb control is faulty, very common on this appliance... not a job for a novice, as you will probably need a new pcb fitted and will also need a new epprom memory chip... best thing to do if its under 5 years, is get hotpoint out you will have a 5 year parts g/tee. you will need to pay the labour at around £90-100, but its worth it... not an easy fix im afraid.. ally
