The Bosch Company is probably known best for its high-end dishwashers,
but the company also produces other home appliances including
refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers. Bosch dryers carry the Energy
Star rating. A Bosch dryer has a structured drum that provides more
thorough drying and condensation drying for faster cycle completion. If
mechanical problems occur with the dryer and troubleshooting efforts
fail, performing a reset may return the dryer to normal functioning.
Instructions
1Unplug the Bosch dryer from the power supply and then reconnect to the power supply.
2Replace the local fuse or reset the circuit breaker if a fuse or circuit breaker has tripped.
3Place items to be dried into the dryer and select a program. Close the door firmly.
4Press "Start/Pause."
5Press "Stop/Cancel" if the above steps do not resolve the problem.
6Pull the dryer out from the wall and use a standard screwdriver to remove the central metal plate on the back of the dryer.
7Locate the small red reset button above the heating element and press and hold the button for a few seconds. Release the button.
8Place the back access panel back on the driver and move the dryer back against the wall. Repeat steps 3 and 4. If the problem continues, press "Stop/Cancel," turn off power to the dryer and contact an authorized service technician for assistance.

I have a Siemens dryer and few days ago it stopped heating, but the drum rotates. The problem was because of a safety reset button that went off. On the Siemens (WT dryer series), it is a red button behind the dryer.
Press the red button and it will restart. I might have started a fire, if not for this safety switch.
A similar reset button must have tripped on the Bosch dryer.
FYI: Remember Bosch and Siemens share their technology.

Unplug the dryer first. Then remove the back cover on the dryer. You will find the red reset button underneath the dryer drum. If the button has been tripped, you will feel and hear it click when you press it in. I would suggest that you vacuum out any dust or lint that has collected inside the unit before replacing the cover.
SOURCE: The dryer (Bosch Nexxt 500) makes a loud grinding
The noise could be your drum rollers need lubricant or replacement.
When the drum rollers get flat spots on them they will make a bumping/thumping type of noise.
The grinding noise sounds to me like the drum rollers are in need of lubrication.

Hi,
This indicates the sensor near the lint filter gets too hot. This is usually caused by bad air flow.Try running the unit without the vent hose attached. If the problem goes away the problem is in the ducting.
You may need to have it cleaned out. May be lint filter is clogged due to the use of dryer sheets or fabric softener. You can try to clean the filter with Windex.
If neither one of this suggestions resolves the issue there may be a problem with the sensor, there may be heat escaping somewhere within the dryer. This is only resolved by technician.
Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

in 99% of the case if the unit is running correctly but not heating the heat element is blown and will require replacement.
