I recently bought a unused IBM 4610 TF6 printer and I need help to adjust the line spacing and font size. I am using the Aldelo POS software.,

My old printer was pre adjusted as far as the spacing and fonts size, but its now old and needs service and cleaning. When I got this new TF6 printer on Ebay (No warranty), I hooked it up the way the old one was, never adjusted a thing. When I turned it on and printed a receipt, the font was too small and the spacing was double which gave me a very long receipt. I never adjusted anything on the POS software because it was the same printer. Plus, there is nothing in the Aldelo POS software to adjust the spacing and fonts size of the customer receipt. Please help me. This is the second printer we got from the same store at Ebay and its doing the same thing.

SOURCE: I have a 4610-TF6 thermal

If it is in the same exact spot every time it is not just a cleaning issue, although it wouldn't hurt to try I suppose. Do you know how to get to the thermal print head? Try rubbing a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol on the print head.... If it doesn't make a difference, which I don't think it will, the print head will need to be replaced.

Thanks, let me know! Just reply here

How do I make the print biiger on my e-reader?

Your eReader offers several different sizes of text for most books. You can adjust the text size, fonts, line spacing, and justification to make reading easier on your eyes.

  1. While reading, tap the middle of your page to bring up the Reading Menu.
  2. Tap the Aa Text icon.
  3. Adjust your font settings:
    • Tap the dropdown menu beside Font Face to select from a list of available fonts.
    • Drag the slider beside Font Sizes to change the size of the text.
    • Drag the slider beside Line Spacing to increase or decrease the space between the lines of type.
    • Drag the slider beside Margins to make the margins bigger or smaller.
    • Tap your choice of justification.

Printing only one side

Most likely the small 'roller' on the LHS of the paper feed shaft is missing. This roller engages the metal 'yoke' on the LHS when the printer lid closes and provides a suitable pressure for the paper to contact the thermal head. They break into 2 pieces sometimes and fall away from the shaft. Solution: remove circlip and replace the roller if you can get one. I have them made.

IBM 4610 suremark receipt printer

Hello all,

had the same problem and my solution was to install the latest driver available at the IBM service/driver website. Then unistall it with another IBM driver cleaning tool, then repeat both processes a couple of times, until the printer responded. There is some bug on these latest drivers an older Windows versions, so only after some installations and repairs on the first install, windows gets it right. VERY STRANGE but it worked in 2 machines, both IBM terminal and 4610-tf6 IBM printer.

By the way; RS232 ibm cable...I believe its a null modem 9 pin...not a regular serial cable.
Dip pin config: my printers have 4 so; 1ON 2ON 3OFF 4OFF which means
1 size of paper you are using 80mm
2 if you use an IBM software or other:other
3 if xon/off or DTR/DSR:hardware
4 com speed: 9600baud or 19200baud, 9600

That's what I igured out. If you need any more info: mail
