The "Operational" panel does not seem to want to work. The unit works fine with the remote, and also displays correctly on the main display side of the front panel, but the buttons refuse to work. I have reset the unit as per the user manual, but no luck. It's as if the operational panel buttons are frozen. There is aslo no display appearing on the operational panel. Any ideas/solutions?

Hello Dan, have you tried to reset the unit using the reset button behind the front panel? also try to clean the panel metal contacts, clean them using a cotton swabs or an handkerchief wet with alcohol, both side (main unit & detachable panel)

Seems like the display panel went bad. You can check for sure by unplagging the unit for 45 seconds and plugging it back in. If still no display order a new display panel. Please rate if you are satisfied
Check for bad connections on the display pins themselves. Specifically, the ones on the ends are the power/ground pins.
Let us know if that resolves the problem. If not, we'll look further into the circuitry.
To turn on the dealer lock function:
Turn the DVD player on.
Press the Stop button on the front panel and the Power button on the remote control simultaneously for four seconds.
Note: When the dealer lock function is active, DEALER LOCK ON or DEALER LOCK OFF scrolls on the FLT display.
