Hi have just inherited a WS5425 which i want to install in the garage - in the user manual which i found on the net it says that although it it set up with hot and cold fill hoses it can be changed to cold only but a service engineer needs to reprogram the machine - does anyone know if this is a simple procedure and how to do it ? and also would both hoses need to be used for cold fill ? thanks in advance for any advice Chihuahua
If you only want cold water for washing, just select cold wash in the program settings and turn off the hot water tap
so the settings you will be looking at are --like --
tub fill ---low water medium water or high water
water temp cold or hot
rinse hot or cold , wash setting --heavy , delicates , whites , woollens etc
may not be exactly worded like that but you get the idea
when ever you see wash temp or water temp , select-- cold

when in the wash phase, listen for a low hum near the wash pump. if you hear this it indicates the wash pump capacitor is faulty or something jammed in the pump.after that you will have to access the wash pump and check if there is any supply to it
SOURCE: User Manual of Asea Cylinda 1200 Dishwasher
One of these was in my house when I moved in, still have the manual. Very efficient dishwasher.
A is a prewash (machine will stop after it). Manual says it's meant to rinse stuff while you wait until you've filled the machine to run a full wash.
D is economy wash. Water is heated according to the switch you select on the front.
C is a prewash that will continue on to D (normal cycle). Water is at incoming temp.
B is another prewash that will continue on the C etc (heavy cycle). Like C, water is at incoming temp.
E is dry cycle. Heating element is on/off depending on switch on the front (dunno why you'd turn it off..)
While turning the dial, push it in and it will stop exactly at the start of theach cycle.
Mine has stopped emptying, think the pump has died, looking for a replacement..
SOURCE: Programming LX18H for TRUE FILL AND DRAIN
The LX18 series was a compromise machine, the lack of a sump heater causes numerous rinse temperature problems due to it's increased water use (over the sump-heater equipped, fresh water rinse LX30 series).
The LX18H can be reprogrammed for true fill and dump operation. If you still need to do this, please let me know via e-mail or post a reply, otherwise a won't post the long answer!

Hi
When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to
check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch
assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As
the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water,
thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong
position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling.
Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float
switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the
hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the
water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve
is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check
continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then
you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is
fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...
Please post back if you need more information.
