My psp will not play any games that I put in it. I have tried all of my games, (they are not scratched) I have tried to put in the starter disk and still nothing. It starts to load then it stops.
What can I do to fix it.
I think the lens might have died permanantely, or maybe just it's temporary. I've also had the same problem, and one time I turned it on, it started working again. Wait about a day and see if it still happens.

Check the firmware of your PSP. Some games may not work if the latest firmware is not installed.
You usually get this message if the UMD has errors reading or the UMD is not present or was ejected in the middle of playing a game. You should try testing your PSP with other disks, if it doesn't have the same problem with other disks then your UMD is most likely scratched or damaged.
If you are using a modded PSP then you will get this error if you load a game from the memory stick without having a disk inserted in the drive. Or if the game that you are trying to load requires a higher firmware version. You will need to install a higher modded firmware to fix the error if that is your case.
the disk could very well be scratched due to overplaying. If you look at the bottom of it (where the disk is read, i mean) and it has a lot of scratches, that could be the problem, so you might have to get a new disk.
But, you should try wiping it off and trying it agian.
have you tried various disks? certan disks may either be scratched or dusty so you coul take a can of compressed air and ust out both some umd's and the umd tray of the psp. also, if you're usuing a custom firmware, you may find it will work once you revert to an official firmware
Put a umd inside wait a sec or two open and check if there is a red light, den the lens is fine its most likely that your cd has been scratched. Try using dev-hook or a custom firmware to read games from memcard
