Hi I have been using a 2wire 1800 home portal router for 6 months with no probs, over the past few days my telephone line has started to be noisy but once I disconnect the router the noise disappears, I have filters on every piece of equipment. I have contacted my telephone line provider and they say the line is clear. Canyou help please
If the line is clear, just use a line filter only where you have a phone fitted and nowhere else, that way you can try the different filters if you are using more than you need as it sounds as if one may be faulty. Also check any extension leads you may have or remove and check you phone line again for noise. If there is noise it would normally stop you from connecting to the internet also.
