If you suffer from region code troubles, you can download a region free DVD player software tool on your pc and then you can play discs of any regions you want. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player which is a free Blu-ray player and a region free player.

DVD players designed for the US are set for Region 1 and cannot be used with DVD's that are from other regions such as Great Britain and most of Europe which use Region 2 DVD's . What you need is a "Region Free" player which plays all regions or a player that plays your specific region. We live in the US but watch many British DVD series so use.a Region Free player as they are Region 2 and we are in Region 1.

maybe you can return the player or at least get some sort of credit for it towards the correct region player. If you are unsure of your region, just Google it.

probably you are trying to play a disc that is not zone free or you need a code for your player to make it zone free. you may be playing a zone 2 disc ( PAL) on a machine that only takes zone 1 (NTSC) or vica-versa.

can the lg bd 125 be made region free?

There is no way to set a player to multi-region. Only DVD's can be region-free (region 0). Every "hack" that I am aware of on the internet is a prank that will permanently disable your player.
You can change the region code on your DVD player to match your DVD, but for anti-piracy reasons, every DVD player that I am aware of only allows you to do this a total of THREE times, and then your DVD player becomes a paperweight, permanently disabled.

Region code in Panasonic DVD player is not possible to break.

Using the remote controller:
Press [SETUP]
Select Preference page
Press [1] [3] [8] [9] [3] [1]
Select region code using [UP] / [DOWN] buttons.

open tray
Press PAUSE
enter 0000
The region code set page should appear.
Set code. 0 for multi region
Press PAUSE.
OR

Make sure your TV is on and the DVD player is active on it
Unplug the DVD player
plug it back in
wait for text "nodisc" to appear on the DVD display
Use remote control to open tray (tray must stay open)
Use remote control to Press "Pause" (you won't see anything)
On the Remote control number pad enter the number "0000" (4 zeros)
The region code setup window will appear on your TV
on the remote control number pad enter number "0" (zero)to set multi region
Use remote control to Press "Pause" again
close tray
