Question about GE JASRM24977 Remote Control

1 Answer

I am having problems programming the remote

I am not positive that this is the right place for this particular remote. Based on the picture it seems like it is the same. The manual has the codes RM24918 and RM84918 on the top right hand corner. If this is in the wrong place please let me know, I want to get it in the right place. So here is my problem. I can get the remote to turn my Memorex TV on and off and turn the volume down, but it will not turn the volume up. Pressing the volume up button brings up the TV's menu. I have tried taking the batteries out and letting the remote clear out and then re-enter codes. I have done the code search and each time the remote finds a code to turn the TV on it doesn't turn the volume up. Also I can get the remote to work on the VCR portion of my Phillips DVD/VCR but it will not work the DVD player. I have been searching online for a solution for over a week and nothing so far has seemed to work. Please help me! This is driving me crazy.

Programming a GE Universal Remote Control takes about seven steps. Step One: Manually turn on the device you wish to program. Step Two: Press the Code Search button on the remote until the indicator light turns on. Step Three: Release the Code Search button. Step Four: Press and release the button for the device you are programming. Step Five: Enter the three-digit code for the device using the number buttons on the remote. After the code is entered, the indicator light turns off. Step Six: Aim the remote at the device and press the power button. The device should turn off. Step Seven: Press Channel Up on the remote with the device on. If the device responds, no further programming is required. To look up a device code to enter directly into the remote, visit the GE Remote Code Locator Website. http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/dow... http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/dow... Where did they put the valet/program buttom on my 2004 Rendezvous?

This is somebody else's so;ution, but it might give you an idea on where to start. I always thought the valet switch was just a key that you gave to the valet. But inn this case out of my legue, my old dodge pickup doesn't hAVE AND MOST LIKELY NEVER WILL HAVE A VALET SWITCH. So check this so;ution oout and see if it gets you going in the right direction.

There should be a key specifically for a valet.
1) Open one of your vehicle's doors and turn the ignition, using the car key, to the "Run" position. Check to see that the dome light comes on. Make sure that you have the dome light set to the position where it powers the light when the door is opened, as there are usually three settings: one for "On," one for "Off" and one for when a door is opened.
2) Press the valet remote push-button to access the channel that you want to program: once for "Arm/disarm," twice for "Trunk Release" and three times for "Remote Start." The valet push-button is usually located under the driver's side panel, and it must be pressed within 15 seconds of opening the door. The push-button may also be installed underneath the kick panel.
3) Press the valet push button once again and wait to hear a chirping or a honking sound. If you do not hear either of these sounds, your vehicle might have a jumper installed that has turned the valet programming feature off. Refer to your vehicle's instructional manual to learn how to set the valet programming feature to the "On" position. Keep holding the valet button pressed as you continue onto the next step.
4) Push the button on the remote that you wish to assign to a particular valet channel. Press the button on the hand-held valet remote that you wish to assign to a particular valet channel. If you wish to program multiple remotes, repeat this step for each of them. If you program four or more remotes, the old programming will be erased.
5) Let go of the valet push-button and exit your vehicle. Your handheld remote is now ready to use.
Tips & Warnings- Some valet remote channels require different programming individually, so refer to the owner's manual or to the link provided in the "Resources" section of this article, for specific instructions.
- Valet remote programming methods may vary, depending on the vehicle's make and model.

Well the remote was dropped and came open, the battery flew out.i replaced it but the truck lockes won't respond.

Do any of the other functions work? Since the battery came out, you may need to take it to a dealer and have the remote re-keyed to your specific car. If other functions do work, the circuit board in the remote might have been cracked across the traces to that particular button.

My remote won't control the fireplace. Do you have to program it

Normally, it comes programed. Before trying to reprogram it ...First, be sure you have the leads from the black receiver box connected to the proper terminals on the control valve of your gas fireplace. Secondly, be sure ALL the batteries are installed properly (i.e. facing the right direction). Do you get a beep when you press the Mode button on the hand held remote? If you do, the problem is some where else.

If you gas fireplace has a rocker switch in the control compartment that was used to turn the burner on and off ... Is it a 2 position switch or a 3 position switch? If it's a 2 position switch, be sure it's in the ON position. If it's a 3 position switch, it should be in the middle position. Is the gas control valve knob turned from Pilot to the ON position? Is your Pilot Light burning? It has to be for the remote control to work.

To test the whether or not the remote is connected properly, push the slide switch on the front of the black receiver box to the ON position. If you pilot is burning and the control knob for the burner is in the ON position, the burner should then light. If it doesn't then I suspect the wiring from the black receiver box to the control valve is not connected to the proper terminals. Or a rocker switch is in the wrong position. If all this fails contact SkyTech Technical Service @ 888-672-8929.

My mom lost her keyless entry remote. bought another online. i looked in the manuel and was unsuccessful in programming the new one. what steps must i take.

  1. 1 Press the lock button on your Chrysler remote five consecutive times at brief two second intervals.
  2. 2 Place your key in the car's ignition and turn it to the right two clicks to the "Run" position on all Chrysler cars.
  3. 3 Hold the unlock button. Then press and hold the panic button simultaneously. Release both buttons at the same time and you will hear a small beep to indicate that the programming is in effect.
  4. 4 Press and release both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time.
  5. 5 Turn the key to the off position and remove it from the ignition. Test your remote to see if the programming was successful.

I think my kids have pushed a button and the screen is got borders on the side and picture condenssed

If you have cable or satellite and a cable box or satellite box it is probably its remote. Look for the hd zoom # button or format button or aspect button to change the picture size.

Someone may have also changed the input on the television. Your cable or satellite box might be connected to two different inputs on your television so you have to make sure the right television input has been chosen with the television remote.

There should be a zoom, view mode, aspect or etc button or setting on your television that adjusts picture size.

Some television programs just broadcast like that and there is nothing you can do while that particular program is on to increase the picture size.

My F75 won;t work at all

1.Most SLRs have the same problem. The paste which used to fix the reflection mirror with the metallic plate is usually rubber based, So there is a chance to the mirror to slide from its original position to down due to gravity. And particularly when you focus close ups the lens extends backward and the lens struck the mirror Positioning the mirror to its original position will solve your problem.
2.May be your camera batteries weak check it for its operating voltage.
