New cartridge-wont pump cleaner

I replaced my cleaning cartride but now you can hear the pump running but no cleaning fluid will pump and clean the razor

  • dan hechler Jul 05, 2007

Thanks, I will consider getting the part. I have been rinsing the the shaver under the faucet and then pouring rubbing alcohol on the head and putting it back in the charger base to dry.

The cleaning fluid "pump" is actually a small Mabuchi 6V DC motor that uses two small plastic spur gears in mesh to "pump" the fluid up a tube into the cleaning reservoir. Mine has died also and I cannot find a replacement motor. The cheapest I have found the base is here: http://www.electricshaverstore.com/get_item_scc1_braun-syncro-clean-charge.htm Good luck, Lynn Livingston

What does it means when you install cartride and it says 1687 black

f you have refilled your ink cartridges and used your printer for a while, then you may need to clean the contacts on your cartridges: they could have become dirty after a bit of ink spilled and dried on them. You can learn how to clean them by reading our post How to clean the contacts on your ink cartridge. To simplify this post, proceed to clean the contacts with a napkin or soft cloth dipped in a bit of alcohol or similar product. You could find a cleaner at a nearby electronic shop that sells printers and computers

Good fues and new washer pump. still not pumping fluid. Not frozen either. Wipers and controls seem to still work at trun signal arm??

The little pipes that spray the windshield washer fluid clog very easily. Use either a very thin piece of wire or a very small drill bit (a welder's "tip cleaner" works perfect!) to clean out the sprayers. Use only 100% bottled washer fluid and not tap water since the minerals will clog up the sprayers.

Make sure the rubber hoses between the pump and the sprayers did not pop off or split. If your fluid level goes down but you get no spray it is going somewhere it is not supposed to.

When you activate your windshield washers, you should be able to hear that little pump run- it makes a very distinctive sound. If you do not hear it, there is a wiring problem.

The red cartridge light is blinking on my dock. What does this mean? A while ago, the dock fell over and all the cleaner liquid fell out, so maybe I just need a replacement for the cleaner liquid. If so,...

Re the light:
When the «cartridge» light starts flashing, the remaining fluid in the cartridge is sufficient for approximately 5 more cleaning cycles. After these 5 cycles, the cleaning performance will be reduced and the cartridge has to be replaced.
When the «cartridge» light illuminates constantly, the cleaning function is locked and a new cartridge has to be installed.
Only then, the next cleaning cycle can be started.

Mode number for the cartridge is CCR2

Color is terrible, even with new color cartridges. Black & white prints out with "stripes" across the page. Almost EVERYTHING we print is illegible. Our printer is less than 1 year old, and we have ...

remove the cartrides, clean the printer head with cotton ear bud soaked in after shave (use only a mild men after shave) the after shave has a low content of alchol.
If the printer head is built in the cartride then clean the head of the cartridge, if the print head is printer based you may have to open the front pannel of the printer to access the printer head to clean it using the same method.

Prints blank pages only (2nd question)

You will probably have to replace the print head. But you can try this first. Take out all the cartridges. Using distilled water, a print head cleaning solution, or alcohol. Take a Q-tip dip into solution and saturate the nozzle area when the in flows through for each section. Slide a sheet of or paper towel underneath the printhead to soak up fluid that comes through. Take a paper towel fold it making a strip. Run hot tap water on the towel..not too much. Then place the cartridges on the towel. The heat will pull the ink down. Let it sit until you see ink on the towel from each cartride round 5 minutes or so. Take a dry cutip and clean out the ink residue inside the print head sections. Then reinsert the cartridges. Run the clean utility from your software a few times until the print is good. If this does not work replace your print head. Hope this helps.
