I bought my son the 1GB MP3 player from ilo at Walmart and about a month after I bought it all it does know is it will turn on then it says searching and then sorting and then it will shut off and then turn its self back on and says sorting and then searching and it will keep on doing that until you shut it off. I tryed to take it back to Walmart and it was past its 30 day policy so they said I had to send it to the manufacture, so I did and know they sent it back to me with a letter stating they dont manufacture or warrant this product, and when I sent them the MP3 player I also sent them the USB cable the disk, and all the paper work and they never sent that stuff back they only sent me the MP3 player and there paper stating they dont warranty my MP3 player. I need to know who I can contact about this problem so I can get this fixed, and how I can get a USB cable for it.

REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.
OK what that means is that although the Max is 1GB, after FORMATTING & Directory Structure, IE: The "Roadmap" for the disk so the PC etc know how to "Use" it well that "Takes Up" the difference in Bytes. Perhaps there are some programs on it? All Memory like that has this occur. It does seem to me to be a bit "High" but it may indeed be correct.. 1GB = 1024 x 1024
your ILO has somehow lost its file structure. look for a tiny pinhole to reset the device. if none, then remove batteries to attempt reset. if still no songs, then firmware upgrade if possible or copy file structure (using windows) from a friend's ILO.
