SOURCE: Hp Office jet print cartridge error

I have a 7410 that is 16 months old with the same problem. It is not a broken spring. Spent over an hour on chat attempting to trouble shoot. HPs only solution was to sell me an "upgrade" for over $300 (which is more than I paid for this piece of junk.)

I expect "top of the line" products to last quite a bit longer than that. The worst thing is that with this error popping up, it is absolutely useless for anything else like scanning or outbound fax.

It should be called an "all or nothing" printer.

SOURCE: print cartridge in right stall not supported

This is a problem with the printer's firmware. I've seen it on there PSC 2350 series. You need to call HP and ask them for a link to the update.

SOURCE: blinking/flashing lights(orange & green) &

that is because ur head of ur printing cartridge is damaged.

remove ur cartridges black as well as color
n install only black cartridge n check d blinking of lights on ur printer if it doesn't blinks it's mean ur black cartridge is OK but ur blinking of light on ur printer is same it's mean ur head of black cartridge is damaged
after this process remove the black one cartridge and install the color one cartridge n check d blinking of lights on ur printer if it doesn't blinks it's mean ur color cartridge is OK but ur blinking of light on ur printer is same it's mean ur head of color cartridge is damaged
now take a dry cotton cloth n gently clean ur cartridges head install both cartridges on ur printer n check ur blinking light on ur printer that will work only if u r too lucky other wise u have to purchase a one cartridge.

Any error messages on the printer digital screen or the desktop? I take it the "The ink is fine" means that there is ink in the cartridges!

Try a test print via the Control Panel> Printers and Faxes> properties > Print test page.

I changed the toner cartridge and now it won't print. The red round light on the control panel is lit. Now what?

If the round red light you describe is a circle of dots that indicates a developer change is due. This needs to be done by a technician but the machine should work fine without doing the developer change.

HP DeskJet 970Cse cartridges won't move

okay be gentle, but try to move the cartridge box manually from side to side. it's possible that the gears have gotten stripped which is why they won't move even though they are trying to. so i'd try and move them from side to side and see if you can physically move it yourself. like i said be gentle in the chance the gear isn't stripped. good luck!

I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.

My HP Officejet 6500 Wireless printer won't print in black when trying to print from Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel or PDF. The ink cartridge is new. I have turned the printer off and...

I also have the OfficeJet 6500 and had the same problem. The black text was printing using a mix of colored inks instead of the black ink, resulting in a grey, fuzzy text. I finally found a solution. In each application under Page Setup, there is an option called "Format for". Mine had been set to "Any Printer". I changed that to "Officejet 6500 E709n [830E4A]" and now it prints the black just fine. I have a Mac running 10.4.11. Hope this helps.

We have an MFC 7820N Printer that is printing a dark vertical line down the right side of the paper only when we fax or make copies through the top tray. Please help we have replaced drums, toner,...

usually this happens because of the toner. But since you replaced that try looking at the rollers below the toner. Take out the toner cartridge and look at the rollers. sometimes ink can try on them and cause a strip on the paper. Use some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and clean them.
Also you can go into the printer settings and do a "clean paper path" this will require you to run a piece of paper the printer will print out to try and "self clean."

After installing re-filled ink cartridges, both color and back & white, the printer message that shows ink level still shows low level ink? How do we resolve?

Hello,

Try this procedure:
1. Open printer lid so cartridges move to center of carriage.
2. Lift clamp and remove black or color cartridge from the holder.
3. Place cartridge on table with copper contact strip facing you.
4. Carefully place a strip of clear plastic tape over the four contacts on the upper left corner of the cartridge.
5. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position.
6. Open lid and remove cartridge again. Remove tape from left side and place tape over four contacts at upper right corner of cartridge.
7. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position again.
8. Open lid again, remove cartridge, remove tape.
9. Reinstall cartridge and close lid.
Printer will now recalibrate. Once the process is complete the ink level meter should be reading full again.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Canon copier D761's printer cartridge is jammed

That door above the cartridge needs to be open all of the way, maybe even push it back gentley to make sure. Should be at 90-92 degree angle. Then the cartridge will come out.
