Printing receipts on Omni 3200

You need to contact your credit card processer. If it was easy to do so on your own it would breach the security built into the software.

There are various responses regarding the operation of the printer on the Omni. Use the following to guide you through resolving this problem. Terminal Response Probable Cause Action Taken No Receipt
Prints Terminal is out of paper. Load paper and/or verify that the paper is installed correctly. Motor on printer is defective. Have terminal serviced. For Vx-6xx terminals only, insufficient charge remaining in the battery to complete the print operation. Check battery status and recharge if neccessary. Receipt Feeds,
But Nothing Is
Printed On It Not using thermal paper. Ensure thermal paper is being used. Thermal paper loaded upside down. Ensure thermal paper is being fed from underneath the roll, as it will only print on one side of the paper.

a lot of times there are issues with the paper cup lid not closing all the way. Try to apply preasure to the lid of paper cup and re-print a receipt and/or report. If still not printing.. Check the paper... make sure its thermal. To test you paper if it thermal... use your thumb nail and run it across the backside of the paper. If it thermal it will leave a faint gray mark the "shinny" side of the paper.

Call your merchant services provider IMMEDIATELY, you MUST truncate the customer copy by law. see FTC rules on truncation.

The thermal print head probably needs to be replaced on the unit. You will have to contact Verifone to find out how to get it fixed.

Thermal paper has only one print side, take the paper out and flip it to the other side.

The printer needs to be replaced. I do have the printer mechs for the Omni 3200s which I sell for $50.
