Question about Pioneer Premier DEH-P670MP CD Player

1 Answer

DEH-P670MP Display goes from regular to extra bright, then back

I have the DEH-P670MP player which I like very much. The problem that I am having is that the display goes from normal, to some type of super bright blue, then back again. This change occurs about every other minute. Is there some setting that is causing this? I have tried changing just about every setting on the player that I can think of, nothing seems to stop it. This is VERY annoying at night, it lights up the whole interior of the car. Please help if you can. If necessary i can probably take a digital picture of the screen when it is doing the bright blue thing. Changing screen savers has no effect at all on this problem. Thank you for your time!

Your deck has "reverse mode" activated. To turn it off, just turn off the power by holding the source button. The press the preset "5" button. When you turn the deck back on, reverse mode should be disabled. (If this doesn't work, try the same procedure with button "6". One's for reverse mode, the other for demo mode, but I'm not sure I remember which is which).

The preset button "6" is for the demo mode so "5" must be the one.
