Hi:
My Maytag Neptune Washer, model number MAH5500B will turn on and go through the wash process, but will not drain properly. I recently put new hot and cold water hoses on the unit. I called a repairman out and the first time he came he told me it was the detergent I was using. It seemed to help for a short few months and started to get worse and I called the repairman out again. He could not give me a clear answer for what the problem was. Please help me to fix the problem.
Thanks,
William

Re:
Check for a kink in the drain hose. if not remove the front of the machine, remove the the hose that connects to the bottom of the tub and the other end that connects to the pump. feel inside the tub for any obstructions and look into the pump for any obstructions.

I removed the pump and removed thread from a rug that had been washed the day before. The thread had bound up the pump preventing it from turning. Once the thread was removed and the parts put back together the machine worked perfectly.
That is correct. Take the screws out of the console up top. look for a burn mark on your circuit board. If it's on R11, replaced your door lock wax motor as well at the board.
