Check and replace its main system memory IC. It is faulty.

No. It is cheap to buy. Is a very small IC, having only 8 solder terminals. Even though its physical size is very small, the function of it, when the set works is great.
No. The IC will have a number printed on it. You should give that number to them. It usually starts with somewhat 24C XX.
Hello The memory IC [shown before] must be defective. This IC is responsible to store the tuning voltage data to different stations. Even though it looks small, its function when set is switched ON is great. Replace it with same number used in your TV. OK?
These few lines, that are seen across the screen's top part, is due to a vertical deflection out problem. Probably, a voltage smoothing problem to vertical output IC. Replace the supply filter capacitor to vertical IC's input supply. It will be best to replace all the electrolytic capacitors at the vertical output section circuit. 5 or 6 of them will be there. Change all with same capacitance value. Just replace the supply filter capacitor. It must make the set to work properly.
hello sir need help. I replace IC 2404c but the mention probem exist as it is.they are telling to change Main board...cant able to see how many channel are coming. can i use set top box since we are giving input to av . and tuning is happening in Set top box.

Press " --- " Key ( below channel 9 button) for few seconds,
Child Lock will be OFF
Press again Tune Lock will be OFF.

According to the Sony website I needed to get a software download in order to fix this problem. I found out how to do this from the manual and realised that the re-tune menu I was looking at was for analogue only. The pictograms onmy remote control are a blurred but the manual helpfully provided a picture showing the correct program "info" button (next to 0) which has options to look at other things, including a "detailed set up" menu on the blue tab, which provides options for software download and re-tune of digital channels.
Incidentally, I discovered that my TV model was not quite as quoted above - it is KD-28DX200U, but expect the same process works for other oldish models.

hello sir, iam having a BPL tv,with 100 channels,,,the problem is i cnt watch around 50 channels,even the cable operator provides 100 +. there are three bands coming while tuning,L,H and U.am getting channel during L,H,but when it goes to U,then everything is blank...U(UHF) is starting from around 55,so all channels are blank upto 99. could you please help me???

We given Tv for repair and the problem was Channel shifting.Now the problem is none of the channel is coming, i have done tuning also but in vain.But if i Put DVD player in tv Input then TV is working.What would be reason and give me the solution also. please reply ASAP..
Sir , as per your instruction i change IC serial number 24C04, but of no use. still the problem persist. At last I shown to Service engineer he told that the Main IC gone and its not available in market. Better to change the board . Is he telling correct? What to do help me.
