When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

It must be a philips casette radio. Renault are normally installing Philips stereo systems. You should contact a Renault authorised dealer to get this sorted. There is no other way.

How to get my radio to work after the battery went flat?

You have to enter the security code which should be with the paperwork that came with the car. If you don't have that, take your title and driver's license to the dealer and for a small (sometimes) fee they will give you the code.

My battery went flat and now my radio wont go. I know I need to get a code to make it go again. Does anyone have any free codes

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code First remove theradio from the dashboard. Then post the radiomake+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped inthe metal casing. This information canthen be used to see if a code can be calculated

Battery went flat so need radio code for renault megane

With the car, comes a plastic "infocard" with the radio and alarm codes. If you lost the card or didn't receive it with the purchase, you can ask for the code to the radio manufacturer, they'll ask you the serial number of the radio and the car and they'll send you the code.

Need key code for ford radio 5000 RDS-EON

Take it to Ford and pay for it. There arent a lot of ways to do that. See if you can negotiate-or go to a different dealer. My local Honda dealer did it for free.

I have no idea what the radio code for my 93 honda accord ex is. Ive only had the car a few months. No paperwork came with it. All the dealerships are saying to bring in the car, and they can pull out...

The problem is the same as I have with my '01 VW. The radio self locks on power loss and the correct code must be entered on power-on. It's a theft deterrent idea that does work. So well in fact that without knowing the code, you're almost out of luck.

Now, each radio has a different serial number, and the code is listed by the radio's actual serial number. The VIN cannot tell you exactly which radio went into that car, so getting the code isn't really possible by just the VIN number. The best idea for you, pull the radio yourself (if you're able) then talk to the dealer with the actual serial number for the radio. Then can then look into the records for that radio on get the code for you. :) I hope this helps bud!
